Great video. My daughter has a 2016 ford fiesta SE. She has had problems with her sync system for the last year or so. She would lose connectivity with her phone and Bluetooth functions. To correct the problem she has bee puling the F10 fuse on the sync system to reset and that would correct the problem. Last week she called me and she now has a problem where all she has is radio and CD. As soon as she selects the media button or phone button the display briefly toggles to sync but then right back to radio. We thought that it could be the radio so we purchased a same exact model number radio off Ebay. I changed the radio last weekend and we have the exact same problem. I was considering a radio upgrade and that's how I found your video. Not sure if we want to invest a lot of money in the car for audio equipment. Do you have any suggestions to correct out problem? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Very cool!!! Thanks for this video. I am just trying to update to a radio with SiriusXM. I got yesterday a radio out of a focus, even though all the harnesses are the same, it did not work. DonInneed to reprogram something? Is a 2012 Ford Fiesta, the radio has the Sirius button but not the actual module for that.

Aloha, man... I've got almost everything-issue is the console mount for the usb hub. I would love to get PN for the armrest console item to mount it. Alternatively, is there any way I can use the already-extant usb connector in the center console? It's currently connected to the base sync that came stock.

I have a 2016 Fiesta, that has the stock radio without blue tooth, can i take a standard stock radio with blue tooth in install it and have it work. seems like that was what you were saying for the sync 3. If the car does not have blue tooth can i add it just by swapping out the radios components that have blue tooth.

Hey mate, I've been upgrading mine from the standard non-bluetooth model to the standard Bluetooth model, but I dont have a wiring loom that connects the black APIM box (behind the glovebox) to the stereo or microphone. Do you guys make looms? Or do you know where I could source one please? 😁

So sorry for the late reply, I haven't seen any of these comments 😬Yeah, it's the same thing as this video... except if you have BVC (pre-sync bluetooth voice control) you'll need a different harness that I'll be making soon... 2017 for sure has the same setup as this. It just looks like it's different due to the "space ship" Sony trim controls panel being so bulky 👍

Netherlands, but i will tell you this. Even if you decide to buy all the parts from the US, you will still need to make DIY fascia because of the differences between the US and EU spec models. That's one of the biggest obstacles for this upgrade on the EU spec fiesta. Also, i still didn't find a part for holding the USB ports for android auto/carplay.

Did you ever do this to your son’s 2011 Fiesta? I have a 2011 SES with Sync 1 and got a Sync 3 screen, swapped some wires and connected just the screen, but it wouldn’t turn on. I’m afraid my 2011 is a year or two too old to do the upgrade.

I'm curious about one thing. On the focal in-car speaker homepage, it says that "fiesta premium factory option (IE Sony head unit) cannot use our speakers". Is there anything that would suggest why?

Probably tweeter positioning would be my guess if the premium version used component speakers (where the tweeter is separate from the main 6.5" mid/low)

Don't see why not. Only issue is getting a sync 3 system for sale in uk

Yes it will work, but you'll need to DIY some things like the USB hub holder. Also if your Fiesta has BVC you'll need to use our BVC harness instead.

Our kit does not have a backup camera, however you can install any aftermarket backup camera to our harness. Simply provide power to the camera from a reverse light (you could do constant power, but this is more likely to burn an aftermarket camera out faster), and program the module to have the camera turn on when you shift into reverse 👍

Yes. And you can jailbreak your module to watch videos via USB. CarPlay and Android Auto do not support video playback
