Definitely a good one. The temperature difference from the Mishimoto (which is only slightly bigger) to the stock IC is huge. I measured it after the install at the same conditions (~19°C / 66°F environment). In my measurement it was 23 K difference at the peak (52°C stock / 31°C Mishimoto) in charge air temperature.

Great mod, but the ecoboost is inconsistent with power. Sometimes it picks up quite a bit and others it feels like a dog. Temperature matters a lot, but so does luck

its basically for better "aero" . just take it off and plug the wire back in the motor and zip tie it behind the front bumper bar so you dont get a check engine light.

no. But cooler charge air temperature enables you to tune for a higher charge pressure.

Intercoolers are for cars that are forced induction. (Turbo/Supercharger)
