Question, when you changed from analog to digital, did you have to do something with miles or they automaticly show on digital as they were on analog?

Mileage only matches up when the cluster is new and the dealership does the coding

Great Video. I have a 2016 A3 w/ 5.8 inch screen no NAV. I really want to get the larger screen with NAV. I assume I will have to get coding to get it to work? I'm in Hawaii, so remote as far as getting good support. Any suggestions. Appreciate the video. Thanks

Very easy, 5 minutes…below insteuctions Remove plastic trim below odometer reset button. Then its just 2 screws! Then remove connector.

Face lift I think you need the MIB with the outputs for the cockpit, and the wiring and mounting brackets for the cluster.

I have a 2017 A3 progressiv, I just bought a VC that’s brand new, my car has MIB2 already, and I previously swapped in a wheel that has the view and return buttons, as it had paddles and my original wheel didn’t, what else would I require to swap the VC in? Should it be plug and play at this point?

Whenever swapping a cluster, the immobilizer kicks in. Have the dealer, or someone with ODIS removed it, and code your keys. That's it, but I believe that you still need to code abs module correctly.

Did you see any vibration on the virtual cockpit screen? Because it is connected with a bracket on to somewhere else right, rather than to dashboard as in original config? What is your long term use review on this retrofit? Faced any problems, mechanical especially, structural wise? Many thanks for the video and for your replies.

After buying the kit on aliexpress, when I installed it, I also placed a good amount of poly fill behind it, just in case there were vibration, but knock on wood there weren't any

Only if its new, the milage can be coded, but only by dealers and shops that have GENKO licensing

Without the update steering wheel buttons, you won't be able to expand, callapse, and change personalization as normal

I would say it depends.... For preface lift, mainly no, because they're many bits needed. As for the FL models, yes it would be miles easier
