Awesome video to learn from. I appreciate you putting it together.

Dude, you are a rockstar! I've got a 2017 tuono that needs a used motor installed, but I haven't yet got up the nerve to start the job. Thanks for putting together such a helpful video. Looking forward to part 3 installing the new one!

Still need to get the nerve up to swap engines around on platforms, ready to slip a disk :)

Nice job! About to reinstall an engine back into a 21 RSV4. The proper engine cradle on that floor jack is a lot nicer to work with than the wood cradle I've made

Thanks! Nice on the RSV4, love those bikes. I was about to build something out of wood too before finding the stand, I found that the engines fit pretty well on harbor freight wood dollys :)

Install those exhaust springs from the bottom. Hang em on the upper hanger and then get under teh bike and pull them down. You might have to get the bike higher to make this method viable. I have a overhead hoist in my garage so i just lift or lower the bike depending on what i am working on.

Yeah hopefully I'll have enough clearance to get the spring puller on there and give them a good yank. A hoist sounds lovely haha

I’ve done a fair bit of work to my 13 Tuono including timing chains and tensioners recently. Nice work here. What else is needed to run the 1100 engine other than the ecu? Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. 🙏

Should just be the ECU and then I hear I need to do a throttle position reset using a Gabro Upmap.

Suggestion for next time, pull the rear stand, move it to the final position of the bike. Then walk around to the front and lift the front of the bike holding each side of the forks, "Wheelie" the bike and walk it backwards. ITs much lighter without an engine in it. Whats your name on the forum? Im Ghostrider8686

Yeah that's a solid plan, I'll need to clear some more space in the mess of a garage. I'm Kylipso on the forum

@@GarageAddiction cool, look for my thread in the Tuono section, I posted pics of my engine removal and my bike 6 ft in the air. The title is something like Tuono hard to start weak out of the corners.

Now I need A couple of new heads for my engine. Any ideas where I can find some?? Or maybe just a whole new engine might be cheaper.
@GarageAddictionАй бұрын
af1 had them listed but I think they were like 4-6 months out :( probably easier to find another engine.
