I remember watching it on TV, wishing I could've been there, but I was only 12 at the time and my grandma didn't want to drive all the way to Stockton. Maybe if we had known it would be the last game, she would've reconsidered. I miss the SaberCats :(

Used to follow the Sabercats from New Jersey because we didn't have our own team. Originally I admit it was the awesome unis but they're a fun team to watch. I miss the Arena League. It's the one non-NFL league that actually survived long term because of its uniqueness.

It's coming back. Just hope it's just as competitive as it was back on these days an not gonna be like watching high school ball or these other indoor leagues. I've tried watching the other leagues, I just can't get into it the same as I did with the arena football league

The only way that can happen is if the right ownership group comes in and buys the teams assets. The rights to the teams name and logo are owned by the AFL if I remember right

I don't think anything. I think there's still the same. I've been following the SaberCats for a few years now, and I've become a big fan of them I'm glad that Eric Meyer was able to get another championship before he left since he's had a bunch of injuries in the past

They changed that rule recently, due to there being less teams or whatever idk why they changed it, but now you can take a knee. It’s stupid, it makes no sense in this style of play. They also changed the timing rule 🙄.

God damn. What happened to this league. 3 years ago they had 12 teams 2 conferences 20 game season and sold out arenas. It all fell apart over the off-season and now the league is barely surviving. Won’t be surprised if by 2022 the league is gone completely.
