kraenk because Audi are using the same design for basically all of their cars. You now need to be an Audi nerd to tell the difference between a lot of them, especially when you see one in your rear view mirror. It's getting like that with Porsche, BMW, Aston, Lamborghini...

Good looking from the outside and inside, though I still wished it had a central screen. Biggest problem is that the tt is not a standard convertible like the BMW z4 or MB SLK

i selling my car. And this is defenetly which i want for myself daily car. Super exterior, super comfort, and i love that Stronic changing speed. i also saw another video, how they showed the parking system, and rear camera was also everything on display! it was such an amaizing. Went for a test drive on Saturday. The thing is, I didn't put it through it's paces as such because the dashboard took my breath away. It just look stunning. I've got a Mk2 and love it, but this makes it now seam outdated. The best part happened on my way home. The one I have is the 3.2 Quattro. Returning home, someone else had took the new TT for a test drive. As it came beside me on the dual carriageway I put my foot to the floor then watched as it obliterated my car. Just getting prices now, trying to configure to a spec I can afford. I've just saved £4000 by removing different stuff and emailed the garage. If I can get this within my price range I'm having it. I did consider a Porsche Boxter, but after being behind the wheel of this I want nothing else.

Not so sure about the sportscarness, but its a less practical but better looking hatchback :) Really like the interior, the center console, dash+display and steering wheel are top notch!

Driving dynamics aside, the original TT was ground breaking and jaw droppingly beautiful. This iteration and all previous were worthy successors but definitely a car for someone who can afford to have a second car. It's ashame they didn't give it more power in this day and age when even econoboxes have north of 200HP. The 370Z might be a better buy for those who want no nonsense sports car on the cheap but there's no denying this thing looks the biz.

In my opinion, the perfect TT, should have the 1st generation exterior looks, combined with the 3rd gen interior with all its new features. And of course it would be all wheel drive (Quattro).

I see no problem with the sharing of chassis architectures. My Mk7 GTI has the same platform and it feels quite a bit better than the Mk6's. If the new Mk3 TT benefits as much from the new platform as the Mk7 GTI does, I wouldn't be complaining about it. Who needs a bespoke chassis? What for? If it is a competent chassis, utilize wherever possible and put the real development money into the power train and amenities. That's what it appears Audi has done, and I don't see a single problem with that. I've never been a TT fan, but this is definitely a solid looking vehicle.

I don't know if you guys can help me but a few years ago I saw this car in a tv show that had the following characteristics. -It was really expensive so expensive that only one was made -The body would adjust entirely to air currents(side doors included) -It was shown in a grey color -Was actually described to be inspired from airplane wiglets. I really like the angular lines of the new 2015 Audi TT. It looks crisp and purposeful. Additionally, the interior is nicely done, especially the re-configurable instrument panel. Furthermore, nice touch with the HVAC controls inside the vents (way to save dashboard space). I don't care for FWD and don't need AWD, so RWD would fit the bill perfectly. It shouldn't be too difficult to build, as the engineering dollars have already been spent for the QUATTRO system. Make it RWD, with 350 HP and a 6-speed manual, all for under $30K (U.S.) and you would have a winning combination. Make mine red, please.

Well the FR-S, BR-Z, and MX-5 all start below $30k and are lighter then 2800 pounds. I just do not see Audi building a car like that because it would require its own specialized platform.

***** That's true, but, except for the upcoming Miata, they're barely lighter. However, they don't make anywhere near 300-350 hp. Finally, it wouldn't require Audi come up with a new platform, as the TT is already offered with AWD, therefore the rear drive components already exist. They would simply do away with the front drive parts, thus saving weight over the AWD, gaining more road feel and turning it into a real fun car. Just saying.

Mr Ol Skül You're dreaming. First off, the automotive industry has never made a 300-350hp RWD car that weighs around 2500lbs for less than $30k. Your only chance of getting there is to buy a used lightweight rwd and modifying it.

I know 5.3 is the official figure, but that can't be right, can it? Golf GTI manual is 6.5, PP (same engine as this) is 6.4, then add DSG so that's 6.2, it weighs 1370kgs. This weighs 50kgs less than its predecessor (1415 - 50 = 1365kgs, or basically the same as the Golf). How does 4WD add nearly 1 second of performance? What will it be like with the Golf R engine?
