Great ride by Ryan Moore.

Over the past 5 renewals, this race has basically turned into the "Aidan O'Brien Invitational." Wrote won the race for O'Brien in 2011, George Vancouver won the race for O'Brien in 2012, Giovanni Boldini finished a narrowly beaten 2nd in 2013, O'Brien didn't win the race in 2014, but the same ownership(Coolmore) did with Hootenanny, and then O'Brien wins it again in 2015 with Hit It A Bomb. That's a pretty impressive 5 year run for the same trainer in one Breeders Cup race.

+wayne kavanagh How so? He is a better jockey than them, of course Ballydoyle missed having him ride for them. That is why he is retained jockey and has first pick of any horse out of the O'Brien yard.

+wayne kavanagh , Moore's 10 fold a better rider on turf than the American jock's, it's just a fact and his record on the top G1 turf races all over the world backs it up. There may be better jockey's than Moore on conventional dirt, but on the green stuff it doesn't get much better.

This is the horse that Aidan O'Brien will send over in 2016 to try and win the Breeders Cup Classic that has eluded him for so long. It won't be Air Force Blue. Hit It A Bomb already has ante-post odds available with multiple European bookmakers for the Classic, and frankly he'll be much better suited for the 10f Classic distance than Air Force Blue would be anyway.

I just bought my tickets to the Breeder's Cup and can only hope Hit It A Bomb is in the Classic field. He's probably better suited for turf, but he can only add to what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive fields in modern horse racing history. Possiblilities include: California Chrome, Nyquist, Frosted, Beholder, Dortmund, Exaggerator, Mohaymen, Hit It A Bomb, maybe even Songbird. That's one heck of a potential lineup...
