Before you replace the fuel pump make sure you run regular gas, Excessive use of E85 fuel can result in reduced engine power, MIL on and DTC P228C (fuel pressure regulator control performance - low pressure) set in the ECM as current or history.

I don't believe the fuel will have any difference on a high pressure pump,but thanks for watching.

Sr, i bought a lacrosee, with out the hp pressure roller or follower ( engine wont start right now ) i think it need the follower to increase the pressure to the injectors, i am right?, thank you
@timzauto Жыл бұрын
@@mecanicodejetski it needs the follower to work,that is how the pump works off the cam with the follower,without it it doesn't work.

Had P228C..Temps Dropped🥶using E85 added 87 gas to tank and went away, cleared the code on it's own..Try that first before spending money or replacing parts!

No amount or percentage of fuel would've corrected this problem,the pump was bad,thanks for watching.

I have the opposite problem. I didn’t have the P228C DTC until AFTER I changed out the HPFP. Now I’m getting the code, the “Service StabiliTrak” and “Reduced Power” messages. WTF???
@timzautoАй бұрын
Probably got a defective pump,for some reason that is common on HPFP'S
@seanhoward8025Ай бұрын
@timzauto It's a brand new pump from the dealer, not some aftermarket crap.

@@seanhoward8025 you need a scanner,it will answer all your questions,look at fuel trims,fuel pressure,fuel pressure sensor,etc,remember test don't guess.

Did you not replace the fuel lines? I keep seeing it said that they must be replaced after removal, but everyone seems to be reusing them in all the videos I see. They want like $100 for that line smh
@jeffreydeleon5630 Жыл бұрын
You can reuse the lines.
