Typically to replace all the fluid requires an expensive machine that will allow the transmission to pump the old fluid out to the machine while the machine pumps fresh fluid in. A dealership or hood private shop may be able to do it.

They got my problem solved that time however since then i drove like 50k more km i am having little trouble in gear shift when my car is cold like when i have transmission fluid temp around 20 degree celsius. Once my transmission is above 50 degree celsius my car runs very smooth. Can you recommend me anything helpful here.

@@JoesCarSmartsNY does the fluid will came out from inlet if i keep engine running and putting the dipstick in?

@@AmitSharma-gf4gz To check the fluid properly the engines has to be warm and the vehicle needs to be jacked up (or on a lift) and perfectly level. If all that is done, the fluid will not leak out of the fill plug hole. If you haven’t watched this whole video, you need to before you try to check your own transmission.

What didn’t it come with? A service record? You could get a CarFax report to see what shops it’s been in. If your car is under 100k miles it’s pretty unlikely this has been done. Also, many garages don’t get into doing these because they’re such a pain.

Dealers love to say that. It’s a good idea to change the fluid around 100k miles. Also, some dealers just don’t want to deal with the hassle. They don’t care if your trans fails. They want to sell you a new car.

Step daughter has a daughter has a 2015 200S, 2.4L. 231,000 miles. The wife got it in 2015 with 47,000 miles. Never changed the tranny fluid. Should I do this or just leave it alone? Wasnt ever driven hard or anything like that. But to me it has a lil delay when shifting. If the new fluid makes it worse I can put the old fluid back in. Drain it in a clean drain pan of course.
@JoesCarSmartsNY4 ай бұрын
@@HuskerRed11 There are two opinions on this. Some people say to leave it alone and that changing it can cause problems at high miles. That theory is that the old fluid has built up a residue inside that can be flushed away with new fluid. However, my preference is to change the fluid anyway. You just have to weigh your personal preferences. Also, changing the fluid might not change the shifting behavior anyway.
