Why all installation videos skip the part were we should learn how to connect that with the factory drl wire or directly to the battery?

I connected them but I feel like they are dim is there something I did wrong and they are on the brightest setting

ORACLElights i went and bought Wires for the dc positive and negative and put them in the box connected one to the battery and grounded the other. No power
