Great video. I just did my upgrade for the 2012. My climate works but doesn't show on the screen. What part number or car model so I get to upgrade the HVAC module. Also can I install the Bluetooth earbuds myself.

I’ve got a 2012 charger pursuit and swapped in a 2014 charger srt8 8.4 inch and the screen flashes once. Displays the image the screen should look like during that flash (but very much distorted) then it all fades away into lines and just emits a bright lit screen with lines down it. But when I go put it in my 2012 superbee it comes right on 🤔 Car came with the narrow single din radio

For the little USB connector is that USB type a mini and is that what powers the USB port in the center consul also the really big connector does that have the Speaker wires in it and where can I find a pin out for the big connector

Well done video. Just a heads up on a few things. The mini usb is for you "media center" where the audio jack, usb, etc is. The pink connector on the 8.4 is for satellite radio and the dark red one is for gps.

I've done the upgrade now my radio don't work. I have to do a hard reset then it works, I turn the car off and the locks again. My Bluetooth works all the time. What issue am I having? I just tried a hard reset, then going to the radio settings and clicked the boxes for FM and Demestic stations. Hopefully this works.

Interchange for plug and play (provided you have the security code) is a bit limited: 2011-2014 LD 300/Charger 2015-2016 LD's and LA Challenger 2017-2019 LD and LA 2020+ LD and LA The 12.1" screen from the Charger Pursuit will only activate the 8.4" section, as it will be deactivated. The programming necessary to utilize the entire screen is only available to Stellantis Fleet customers in squads that are in service. Cars without GPS will need a GPS antenna, if the new radio has that function..

@@Jayportt you're making this too hard. LA = 2015+ Challenger LD = 2011+ Charger/300 I listed the years that will interchange for the cars. Trucks and Jeeps likely will not interchange without modification. If you have a 2016 Charger (LD), then the only years that are a direct interchange are 2015 and 2016. You will still have to have the PIN in order to get a different radio to work. 2011 was the only year without the PIN, but that year will not work in a 2016.

If I find one at a junkyard, can I just replace the radio and replace the USB connection and it will all work and retain all the previous functionality?

Did the new 8.4" Uconnect you removed had navigation? I have the same 5" radio in my 2017 Charger SE as the one you put in. Wondering if a 2015-2017 Charger used 8.4" equipped with navigation will work with my 2017 Charger SE existing connecters without additional adapters or modifications.

Yes if you add a 8.4” with gps you’ll have navigation! It added it to mine

@@Brandoview false, and false. Interchange is 2015-2016, and 2017-2019. You need a GPS antenna if your vehicle did not have one (vehicles prior to 2018).
