Very good and honest Report! I have ordered the 1299 S and can't wait to ride it... do not know what a shock it will be after my '09 YZF-R1 Yamaha (cross plane)... Guess I will have quiet a few laps to acclimate to my new lady

Like ehsan83 said, I am dying to see comparo's between the new Bmw/R1/Duc/Hopefully honda/Aprilia/H2/and the bikes that weren't updated this year. Thinking about getting 1liter this year and having a tough time deciding!!! Thanks!

+Oducks58 don't listen to these old ladies, Ducati's are actually pretty slow, this is a perfect starter bike. You could step up to an S1000RR in about 1 month after learning on this.

I haven't ridden the 2014 S1000RR so I can't comment. The Beemer is always hard to beat though...
@ehsan839 жыл бұрын
Adam Waheed But i'm talking about the 2015 model. It has more horse power than the 2014 model. Looking forward to see your comparison of Panigale S, Yamaha R1 and S1000RR ;) Thanks
@AdamWaheed9 жыл бұрын
***** haha - I haven't ridden the '15 model either. Like I said the Beemer will be hard to beat. Like it or not, when BMW puts their collective minds and resources to a project they can create some pretty amazing machines. But I know Yamaha is swinging for the fences with the 2015 YZF-R1... It's going to be a good battle and I'm excited to see how it plays out. We should have Part 1 of the Superbike Shootout published in mid April, and Part 2 at the end of May... Thanks for reading... Adam
@ehsan839 жыл бұрын
Adam Waheed Perfect looking forward to see those comparisons. In the mean time ( i know it doesn't concern people in the US ) but bike dealers in Switzerland have done a huge adjustment on their bike's prices because of the mess caused by Swiss francs and Euro but some dealers forgot like Honda and Yamaha. As i was checking prices last night i had a crazy surprise. The new S1000RR is 3000 CHF less expensive than the new R1 !!!! I really think that Yamaha should think about their price policy here if they want to sell at least some of their bikes. What do you think?
@ehsan839 жыл бұрын

Do you still get your nuts roasted on the seat from the exhaust pipe under the seat like on the previous panigale?
@Hadgerz9 жыл бұрын
It looks like the exhaust has plenty of insulation materials underneath the seat... So I'm thinking definitely yes, you still get roasted XD
@dontwantaname9 жыл бұрын
It looks like the exhaust has been moved to the bottom of the motorcycle. Would the heat still rise to the crotch region at a stop light? Who knows.
@Hadgerz9 жыл бұрын
Leonard Ruiz There's an exhaust tip at the bottom of the bike but there seems to be a big curling pipe underneath the seat, which looks like the header for one of the cylinders.

+leonardimas1 i'd be careful what you say old man bike. I own a BMW and lets just say 9.5 seconds in a 1/4 mile close to 160 MPH is no slouch....or what you call 'old man bike.' for the money, you can't go wrong with a BMW considering what you have. they bridge the gab between a high dollar ducati and a cheaper Japanese bike like a Suzuki or Kawasaki.

Love the looks. its killer but the sound :( its like ktm duke. Good looks but crap sound. Wished it had sound like the japanese or mv agusta. Sports bike fully faired should not have sound like this. For naked bikes its ok.
@jimjames82349 жыл бұрын
More horse power than you can use without the electric nanny. So,.. I'd be paying for more horse power and because that makes the bike uncontrollable to mere mortals,.. I then have to pay for more hardware and software than the laptop I'm writing this on.I'm with Suzuki and Honda. 150 at the rear wheel and no electric nanny for at least 4 grand less.

You won't enjoy this bike on the street once your thighs are roasted, ass soar from sitting on that excuse for a seat, wrists practically broken from those clip-ons, and you have the back of an 80 year old man from that race crouch.

HUH?...Pani utterly destroys any inline 4 out of the corners at 144nm, around 20-25kg lighter than all the competitors, fit a full Akro system like I have another 4.5kg less, with 6hp more, went BST carbon rims another 1kg down... forget WSB if that is your reference...topend 304km/h on the Garmin GPS hitting the limiter....on the track I love it...road it is crap.

Better not put that thing on a track with Marq Marquez and his CBR1000RR SP! He will embarrass that thing and whoever is riding it.
