Good review!! The previous generation has a lot of midrange torque. This bike has throttle response issues and carried a heavier engine . So the 10+ hp carry the extra weight. A plus for inline 4 riders if they move over to an l-twin. I Bought the previous generation over this. Not sure where Ducati is going with smoother engines. That won't be a Ducati or may be times are changing . This bike has not won any pikes peak. This is a DVT !

+D WARRAICH Pikes Peak is being won by sport bikes now. Against a new R1 this doesn't really have any chance. I'm not setting lap times up mountains, so no problem. I got this specifically because the engine was smooth. I wanted something comfortable with character, and got it. Beats an I4, I've had a bunch of those.

+aluisious . No worries. I think it will be a success with majority , given it has a smoother engine. The pikes peak races are won by sports bike now because they were not allowed for entry due to gravel part of the road. The super sports are going to be faster of course. Pikes peak is more about one piece handle bar bikes as it used be. The rules are changing again. I don't race but I like lighter bikes. I had a GSA and a streetlighter before and the best compromise is a mulristrada and the lighter and raw the engine is , the more I like it. Somehow I still like the grunt of the old desmo and raw testras. Ducati was never about smoother engines. The bike has to be crazy to be tagged a Ducati. :) just how I see it and how I experienced Ducati. Enjoy your bike mate.

So, you didn't find even one thing thats bad with this bike? You shouldn't be reviewing bikes.

+Jaromir Misztak Have you ridden it? What do you think is bad about it? At least five of us have ridden the '15 Multistrada. That's well over 70 years of riding experience all up. From current IOM TT racers, to your above average road and adventure riders. It impressed us all that much, we decided to buy it.

+Cycle Torque Sorry, but this review sounds just like an Ad, that's all. For someone thats considering buying it, I don't want to have any surprises.

Yeah, you are right. It kind of is an ad in a way but at the same time, we've ridden just about every bike there is and we now own it, so we do mean everything we say. In the amount of time we test bikes we don't usually find too many surprises with any of them, getting into the bikes brain to change modes can be complex but that's because every manufacturer has a different way of doing things and we tend to forget them as soon as the bike leaves, owners don't seem to face that problem because once you learn to use it, it doesn't change. Having fun in sport mode she gets a bit thirsty but it's more than worth it! The first service was a surprise for the wallet haha... but thankfully they're few and far between (15000km). It doesn't mind the trickle charger if it's being garaged for an extended time. That's about all we can say from owning it over the last few months now, if you are thinking about buying one, organise a test ride, I'm sure you will be as impressed as we are!

That is exactly what I needed to know. My next bike will be Ducati Multistrada.

+Cycle Torque Yeah, I took a test ride on the 15 Multi, and just got one a few weeks ago. It's pretty great. I have a bit of some weird handling issues, but I haven't had it set up for sag yet, was waiting to break in the suspension a little first.
