+Brent Spooner No, he sight busted me cold. I tell the whole story in this video. I had already packed all my gear and had to get the camera out of my backpack when the smaller buck was coming. Were you able to press chargers on the trespassers?

+Stephen Palmateer I did not. I have been successful doing so in the past, but in this case it was a neighbor who I had not met personally but had talked to several times on the phone in the past. He had a mistaken idea of what the requirements were for contacting me in regards to tracking deer (the same deal as with the other neighbors, call, make contact, find out what the landowner wants to do, and follow his guidance to recover your deer--he called, I did not answer because the deer he had already pushed out of the sanctuary were standing around me, and he entered without my OK). He got a pass and a firm understanding of how important these rules are to me and my neighbors, and how he had ruined a day I had dreamed about for an entire year. We are going to get together with him to show him how he can improve his hunting on his property as he is a novice. In this case we made lemonade out of the lemon as we think he will be on board in the future participating with the cooperative. I told him he was the only guy on the planet who could have gotten a pass and not met up with the Sheriff's Deputy.

+Extreme Deer Habitat better to resolve these kinds of disputes with new neighbours in a positive fashion before resorting to harsher alternatives. Well done.

+Stephen Palmateer Thank you. I was steamed, told the guy he could not drag his deer out but would have to meet me at my house with the police to come and retrieve it. In the meantime I talked to my other neighbor on the phone, and we agreed that it would be a bad idea to do anything except reach out to him and try to get him on board. It worked we think, and we think we have a new friend that understands our passion for deer hunting.
