Hey There. I know you closed the comments on the other video about the VVT solenoid fix but just wanted to let you know I have the same exact truck combo and had exactly the same symptoms and error codes (which helped me find your vid.) I didn't try your fix, my dealer didn't seem too concerned when I called them so I took it in today. Just received a text that it's ready and they cleaned the VVT solenoids under a service bulletin. Not sure if they took the valve covers off or just did it your method but just wanted to say big thanks for that vid. You nailed it. 👍

Thanks. Never heard of that service bulletin. No, I never took the valve cover off. I change my oil every 5k now to make sure that doesn't happen again. I think just having dirty oil will cause it. TT engines tend to dirty the oil quicker from my understanding.

@@_willalexander.88 Yeah, you and I both don't have dirty oil, but it happened anyway. I asked about that and answer was "could be just a little bit of dust". I know they didn't take the cover off either, based on time charged (1 hr total including diagnostics), so my guess is they did the same thing you did. How else? Maybe they're using your vids for training now. :)

Thanks for the explanation! So the battery is a straight parallel connection? I had a second battery in my old truck, but I've heard people say that adding a battery will cause problems with the electrical system since it's all computerized now.

If that battery in the back is Hooked up to the alternator for charging I would put it in the bed of truck in a plastic box. When charging lead acid battery’s they release hydrogen. And when in the confinded space like a truck cab can be dangerous just a heads up.

Forgot to add also. AGM battery’s are sealed and don’t emit gas they are great option for stuff like this

69th view 😎 Thanks for video. How does the PWM work if the pump is just hooked up to battery power? Is the 3rd wire connected to the OEM fuel pump power?

Yes. There is a few different options to wire this pump up. I'm wondering if it's wired up w/o pwm if it will fix the delay start.

Pretty sure a brushless DW pump requires a controller that would solve all of your cons mentioned in this video

Yes, it needs a controller, which is installed. Come to find out there's a few things your tuner needs to do to get this thing running right. They don't mention that.

@@_willalexander.88 I can't imagine what it would be. The brushless motor needs a controller to convert the PWM signal from the truck. Do you know what settings changed

Are you still running the meth kit and if so has it caused any troubles with the truck?

Never did on my 15. Always worked great with no issues. I have a 19 now and currently finishing up tuning w/o meth. About to add it in soon.

@@_willalexander.88 well I’m tuned with 5*. They did my last truck and I’ve been pleased with them. I just ordered a w/m kit. Looking forward to feeling a little more power when I need it most. I’m using a RTD, what tuning device are you using?
