We've never had a rattle in our 15 Ford Edge titanium. Had it for over 4 years and haven't had a single issue with the car yet.

How has the Ford Edge Titanium been. Any Issues?

@@HoIyGrail in 7 years of ownership and 70,000kms we had a good experience. Year 3 or 4 the weather stripping on the rear doors would slowly fall out. It’s pressed into the fender and it would get gunked up with dirt and sand then slowly come out. The dealer put on new weather stripping but I ended up glueing it in to ensure it wouldn’t happen again. Some paint on the inside rear doors was peeling off. I think that’s due to all the dirt that gets into the doors from my kids and road grime slowly getting in. Other than that we replaced the tires last year. Overall a solid experience. We just traded it in for a ford explorer timberline for the extra room. The next major city is 500kms away from us 😂.

Just got back from a 900 mile trip to the mountains in my 2018 Edge Sport 2.7 EB...even some beaten track driving in the rain, for a soccer mom ride it is a Mt. Goat! My 9000+ mile average is 21.2mpg...800 mile of city only gets you 18.9 mpg....my recent trip to the Mountains was a mix of city/Highway and curvy mountain roads using Sport mode shifting manually got me 24.4 mpg..200+ miles of Interstate only (75 mph) was 25.5 mpg. P.S. 9000 miles and NO rattles or squeeks!

Interesting that you mention a rattle. Mine doesn't rattle at all. In fact it's one of the quietest cabins I've ever been in.

Great review sir but you were way too harsh in my opinion, I'm currently testing a few options and when it comes to value for money edge is definitely better than the Murano or the Santa Fe, and absolutely safer. I don't know about you but I'll "suffer" from a few Quiks and Rattles for that

I would love it if reviewers always scored "fit and finish". I agree, there is nothing more annoying that paying a lot of money for a vehicle and having it squeak and rattle on the bumps or when the radio bass is pumping. When I was a kid, my parents had an '83 Plymouth Turismo. Every bump resulted in a ton if squeaks and rattles, and big bumps made you think the dash was going to fall off onto your lap! It was awful. So my suggestion, please rate every vehicle for squeaks and rattles. I will love your reviews even more if you did.

+MotorCity J I'm surprised that Ford didn't assemble this vehicle better. My little 12k 2014 Ford Fiesta is put together very well. One of the reasons why I went with that vehicle versus other compacts is because it does not rattle and didn't have excessive accessories. Then for a 44k vehicle they just slam it together real fast? What the heck?

Thanks for this review. I have been considering the 2016 Edge to replace my 2004 X5 which I've owned for around 7 years. Haven't seen one in person yet as its not quite released in the UK. Your comments on fit and finish have really put me off and the rattles are a deal breaker. Even at 11 years old my X5 doesn't rattle.

I own a 16 Edge Sport and your interior comments are spot on. Rattles and poor fit/finish. I've managed to fix most of the rattles but the fit/finish you cannot do anything about.

Do you think the fit and finish issues are related to the Edge being new in 2015? It's disappointing as this vehicle caught my eye and was tops on my list as an exciting alternative to a CPO 2013 MDX (bland). I'm all about fit and finish as that's the face you have to look at every day and I couldn't stand living with 5 years of rattles.

Thank you for you honest review. I also am a stickler for quality, durability and fit and finish. Squeaks and rattles are a NO NO for a vehicle of this price. I was really in the market for a vehicle of this level but thanks to your review, I will not have to result to having buyer's remorse.

It is disappointing considering the money we are talking about. Titanium is expensive, and fit and finish, and rattles should not be there. I was considering this vehicle, but I am going to pass on this one. Thanks for the thorough review.
