Thanks so much for the video. I was one of those people who really didn't understand what it all meant. Even the salesman couldn't explain it to me. You laid it out perfectly. I'm a first time hybrid owner. Update: having put just over 700 miles since I've watched this video, my fuel economy has increased significantly. Learning to drive this hybrid truck can be a bit of a challenge. But once you've mastered it, it truly makes all the difference in the world. Thanks again Sam.

Hey Sam, thanks for all your reviews, I find them enjoyable, easy to watch, insightful, and helpful! I'd love your thoughts on two vehicles I'm considering, although they are apple to oranges they are both hybrids and to me that is 80% of what I want in a vehicle. If we can do a "all else the same" what are your thoughts on a Maverick Hybrid XLT w/CP.360 vs. Rav4 Hybrid (XLE or Woodland) - ignoring the truck bed utility. Why ignore the truck bed, 1: I don't NEED a truck and 2: there really isn't anything else to compare in the small truck segment. Dealers don't want to go below MSRP on the Maverick and for the price of a 24 XLT w/CP.360, I feel like I'd get more out of a Rav4 Hybrid XLE. Thanks again for what you do and sorry for a very "they aren't the same" kinda of question.

Are you going to go over all the failures (2, 3 even 4) rebuilds (no crate engine) and how customers are being treated.

load 1400 lbs (includes passengers) tow 2000lbs but but dont try it with 1400 pounds inside the truck and ...leave a lot of room on the anramp for acceleration

I'm a Toyota fan but, the new Tacoma is ugly imo. The Ridgeline has a throwback style similar to the 3rd Gen Ranger...which is one of my favorite mid sized trucks in terms of looks.

I went from a BMW 4-Series to a Giulia Veloce over a year ago - almost this exact spec. My experience has been totally opposite to nearly everything you said (other than handling). The Hornet parts come from this car - not the other way around - though it sounds like you don’t like them regardless. I feel like the interior quality is as good or better than my 4-Series, which was a pretty high spec. In the end, it’s your review, so I get it but I’d encourage anyone who likes the way it looks to drive it for themselves. I loved my BMW, but this is a better car and better value in almost every way. Just sharing my real world experience.

Your obviously a Cadillac guy. All the things the Lincoln did same or better you downplayed on Lincoln and gushed over on Cadillac. Like to be engine noise for example. Then you didn't mention Lincolns power tilt and telescope feature but gushed over Cadillacs and then in the backseat you didn't even mention Lincoln's recline feature but we're super excited over Cadillacs even though it's impractical because you can't adjust it while your actually SITTING IN THE CAR!! Talk about bias this was the first and last of your videos I will suffer through.

I don’t like front design low side two silver holes just like exhaust pipe, and secondly don’t have spare tyre. Third the interior must be classic accommodation lights in this brand. Look well this car , Honda company can study or design carefully if wants.

My old 8' bed with a camper shell makes weekend camping with a cot and full-size mattress a breeze. Now I can't even buy an 8'. Need at least a 6.5' with a built in shell that doesn't leak and has side windows with screens. No need for crew cap just enough extended to fit my ice chest and stove. Nobody care about how easy the short tour camping guy with no dang travel trailer needed for deep woods 4x4. It would be the bomb for some of us. G friends always liked the roughing it with a bed just fine. Already getting ready for the woody or the woods rather

Does your tonneau cover "leak" when it rains, have talked to several and leakage is a problem, in the winter dozens have reported snow drifts under the cover. If yours hasn't leaked what brand was it again, and be so kind as to say where it came from. Thanks.

One correction, the paddle shifters do not change gears on the hybrid. They change the recharge amount. They do change gears in the N line though.

I love my 2021 limited hybrid and love even more this new design, I don’t like they removed the solar panel roof but I understand didn’t provide much charge although it was a cool gimmick, maybe I prefer the solar panel because I have an Acura SUV with a pano roof and barely use it, however overall is a nice update to an already nice car.

Nice that they changed the look from that "catfish" design. I've always liked the Sonata but, I end up going with KIA as their ride and handling feel more European and sporty. Had 3 KIA Optima hybrids and the weak point has always been the tires, swap those out for a better driving experience. The Sport mode on the 2017 was really fun, spun the factory tires if you're a little heavy on the throttle, had to ditch them for some UHP AS tires, then later lowered it, was a really great performer. I call it my Sport Hybrid. These days they make hybrids that can provide long range and sporty driving, I like that.

I found the LED headlights to be top notch. I traded in my 2008 Mazda 3 S Sport with the smoke tinted lens covers for the 2017 SE with Technology and almost feel sorry for oncoming cars at night. My 2007 Tacoma 4X4 has halogen lights. Even lifted a good foot above the Passat, the Passat's lights illuminate the road better than the Tacoma.

Whoever thought up the dial shifter was not too bright. I have accidentally turned the radio dial thinking I was putting the vehicle in park and almost took out the garage door. Just offer a normal shifter already. Stop with all the re-inventions. Jeesh.

I wish they had a tier without the turbo and just put a bigger engine.

I bought one a month ago. It’s exactly the same color and interior 2024 VW Jetta SEL. It’s an amazing car and gas saver as well. I’m very happy with my purchase
