Make sure you check 418 in the workshop manual. They change stuff randomly so a different model year might not have the identical can bus set up. For example, my mustang has an extra can bus and it caused me a lot of issues trying to connect to the abs module… used to be hs1 and hs2 were both accessible thought 4,16. Now hs2, hs3, hs4, MSCAN are all on 3,11 as “diag2”

@@josephbargo5024 correct, ford is now using advanced gateways. Even on my 2014 model year HS1 and HS2 are separate and able to be probed at the OBD port. However, HS3 and MSC are legged to HS2 via microchips in the gateway module which is attached to the OBD port.
