For the hu100 (10) cut. You can narrow your search every time. The first 2 cuts are always the same as the last 2 cuts

@@jinxxpwnage I used this process recently because I used the tailgate lock to make a key. The tailgate was missing 4 cuts out of 10. But the book said the last 2 cuts are the same as the first 2 cuts. So then I used a code fill program to find last 2 cuts to make key.

If you cant lishi the door or ignition, you can use an ignition removal tool to take out the ignition and tail piece and the tail piece will have the code and if it doesn't you can take out the wafers and check what cut they are individually. also you dont have to sit in the car for 12 mins while it programs you can wait in your ac
@TheKeyMan12 Жыл бұрын
Had a 2018 give me some problems the other day with my lishi could not get the ignition to pick and could not get a correct read out of the door no matter how much I cleaned it. I’ve done lots of these with my lishi so I ended up using my v2 ignition tool and just popped the ignition, and got the code off of it
@mynamesjeff69 Жыл бұрын
i always just lishi the ignition on these. they are easy to pick and it's not at an awkward angle. I like to cut once and be done, the 12 minute wait already makes this job take long enough lol

My favorite part about this job is getting there and picking the door and cutting the key. Then comes the absolute existential dread that comes from the 12 or 15 minutes as you wait for the ever possible "key learning failed" message. Luckily it doesn't happen as often with b111 or b119 but I've definately had this occur with chrysler. My god that pt cruiser sucked to walk away from empty handed. Kia/hyundai are also a big favorite usually just cut by vin and no immo! My least favorite is ford high security key hu101 i don't even bother picking that i just remove door lock and disassemble to read wafers. I've had that lishi lie to me one too many times!

@jinxxpwnage2 жыл бұрын
For future reference i think this key is around $15 uncut so you'd charge at least $120 in affordable states like arizona. Around $200 for cali without remote of course. I'd say always make $100 profit off of it.

On most newer GM make sure you have 2 key/fobs programmed or the vehicle will be stuck in learning mode “ready for key 2.” Once the second key/fob is programmed it should work!

@locksmithofgilbert6260 Жыл бұрын
The pick or Lishi corresponds to the keyway you are picking/cutting. This GMC was an HU101 so the Lishi I am using is an HU101
