Way too raspy, and hopefully he installed a resonator or two down the road. All exhaust systems will sound raspy with this engine, due to the single collector header design. You will always need at least a single decent, long resonator, along with a muffler, if you want to kill the raspy tone.

What resonator do you recommend to kill the rasp but still let the exhaust have its loud tone in a way?

@@keyonb8053 Honestly, probably a regular resonator (the non-glasspack style, without louvers inside) that’s at least 16” in length. I usually run two 16-18” resonators if I want to keep it a bit louder, but glasspacks will quiet it down overall even more.

@@isnowyazn so would a lcgp 18 in or upower 18 in resonator do the trick?

@@isnowyazn currently my setup is aftermarket downpipe into ultra quiet vibrant resonator then ypipe into dual magnaflows and it’s super quiet with no rasp at all

@@keyonb8053 What size is your piping? And are you talking about the RV6 PCD header for the I4? I’m currently running the Weapon R header and downpipe/front pipe combo, into a 3” single exit exhaust. I have a generic 18” resonator down the midpipe, a generic 16” glasspack down the b-pipe section right before the muffler, and then a generic N1 muffler. There’s no rasp at all, and it’s loud and sounds deep.
