Love it! Just got a 2022 Ruckus and this gives me hope for some simple two-track riding up here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

🥳 Congrats on the 2022 Ruckus! I hope you have a blast riding! I have more fun on the trails then the open road. 😁

We just got a ‘22 Rukus for the wife to join me on my ‘21 CRF300L! I could probably sell my 300L and buy TWO Ruks! The 300L’s and Rally’s are so hard to get, it’s a sellers market!😂

2022 Yamaha Zuma 125 would be a great bike for riding off road

I grew up in Arizona in the early 70s. And I rode trails just like that for miles and miles and miles. We had a Yamaha MX 80. We used to race with Jeff Ward. But he blew our doors off. But we would go trail riding and we would take gas cans and tie them to work bike so we could ride. We were only in fourth grade. Back then you could go for miles and miles and you didn’t have to worry about your kid being kidnapped. You did not have to worry about perverts. You did not have to worry about human trafficking. Criminals were in jail back then. Our borders were secure. I would literally fill my gas can I mean my gas tank in the middle of the desert and then ride the roads home the shoulders of the roads and not get harassed by the police as though I were an evil door because I was riding in the desert beside the road and I would ride 50 miles home and then I would park my bike in the shed in 1974 and take a hot bath and literally went 50 miles One Direction and 50 miles back through the Desert. I came home. I ate a nice steak dinner in Scottsdale Arizona, we listen to Neil diamond and Tom Jones. And then we will go to Phoenix and see Elvis. Now I am told that that neighborhood is overrun by illegal aliens

It's crazy that riding on the shoulder makes you an evil door.

What's the damage after riding like this?
@DustyTrailRider2 жыл бұрын
No damage to date. Surprisingly the air filter stays pretty clean too. My daughter and I have been taking the Ruckus off road for years now. 😁 I'm around 200 lbs and could bottom out the stock suspension fairly easy (even driving it through it pavement). My 120lb daughter hardly ever did. I ended up installing a new rear shock that you can adjust the preload on. That made a huge difference! I try to move with the bike, and stay light over rough stuff and the Ruckus does great! 🤠

@Sailwin thanks a lot for your thorough response, friend. I have been a fan of this scooter for a long time and didn't know it could handle such hard riding. Any concerns I had about purchasing have been put to rest thanks to you.

@@KJ-ek2ze your welcome. The Ruckus is a blast! 😁 My biggest concern is the exhaust pipe underneath the scooter. It seems exposed and I worry I could damage it if I went over something like a rock or log. I've never done this but I suspect it's possible. I also wonder about the frame. It seems thick and solid, but it does not have a cross support on the top like motorcycles. Neither of those concerns stop me from enjoying the Ruckus. 😎

Nice video man, it must be pretty hard to manuver on this train! May I ask what your are using for your hud ?
@DustyTrailRider4 жыл бұрын
GoPro Hero 7 Silver. Used the GoPro computer software to make a clip. It has all that stuff and much more at that point. I think they are called stickers or gauges (I think the far right option). Then you can position them anywhere and resize them. 👍

@@DustyTrailRider maaaan, do the gopro record all these datas ? I didn't knew it ! Is there an option for it that i missed ?
@DustyTrailRider4 жыл бұрын
@@martinjacqueline9483 I don't what GoPro model started doing it, but it was one of the features that sold me on getting my GoPro Hero 7 Silver. I think there are better hud's out there (I saw I ne that shows the jumps on a MX track), but this one is better then nothing, and easy to use. 😁
