Been thinking about getting this car for a while, there are not many i10 videos on KZbin. This is one of the best great vid, definitely going to replace my old car with this sometime.

I was a rear passenger in one of these not too long ago. I was very surprised at how refined it was. If I don't need such a big car in the future, I'd certainly consider one of these.

Fully agree about touch screens. In fact I think they are dangerous. I want big, old fashioned knobs and buttons I can operate without taking eyes off road. I disagree with the man's politics but he's a good car reviewer. I might go for the 1.2 Hyundai as the 1.0 is a bit slow. A good little car that will fit in my garage, easy to park and can cope with the occasional long motorway run.

Good little car the i10. Its being updated next year. Im thinking of downsizing to one for ease of parking etc. Come with 5 year fully transferable warranty as well. Drivers seat height adjustable on SE and above.

How is it for uphills, can it handle them relatively well with two adults inside?

I'm 17 and looking for a good economical, cheap on tax/insurance, comfortable, first car as I'll be mostly be driving on motorways as well as around South London. My verdict is between the Ford Fiesta 1.25 style (59) or Hyundai i10 1.0..... what do you recommend? Looking forward to your reply 😄

Kiran Kamat both great cars, perhaps Fiesta has a little more street cred, and more aftermarket parts to personalise it, but also cars like Corsa and Citroen C1 suitable too

Yes, Barrie....3 points for dry water bottle on w/wipe. But DOUBLE that (And a £200 fine!) for using a hand held device with engine running....car doesn`t have to be moving, just engine running is 6 points. One more small point.....coasting....you do know what coasting is?
@BarrieCrampton
@BarrieCrampton 3 жыл бұрын
yes by using the experience I have gained through driving millions of miles, I am able to anticipate the traffic conditions and stopping distances which is a means of saving fuel, and unnecessary stress, wear and tear on your engine, brake pads, brake disks, wheel bearing, drive shafts, gearbox, clutch, springs, shock absorbers, tyres, suspension bushes, engine mountings etc etc, by just letting the cars natural air resistance slow you down! which BMW and Mercedes have tried to replicate in their automatic gearboxes, but they cant do it as good as me ps no one likes a buzzkill or smart alec!

@@BarrieCrampton Ha, ha, ha....the reason I like watching the vids is the constant complaining about the way everyone else is driving....the epitome of `smart alec`. Just watch your vid above, Barrie. Popping a gear box into neutral and coasting saves nil fuel in modern engines...if coasting in neutral was of any use we wouldn`t have start/stop. Coasting to a stop is actually MORE stressful and causes more wear and tear to brakes, cutting off the natural way engine braking works and having to make MORE use of brakes....as regards auto boxes in cars....well known fact you get more brake wear and tear in auto box cars due to running-on nature of the auto box and BM and Merc would do well to replicate the engine braking of a manual. If I was that much of a smart alec, I would hand over the incriminating evidence above of driving while using a hand-held device....with of course the extra 3 points actually admitting driving a car with a dry water bottle.

@@enrobsorussell stop start is the worse thing ever, and in some cases can be lethal, how on earth can wind resistance cause more stress and wear to a car?
@enrobsorussell

@@BarrieCrampton The coasting effect (Especially going down-hill) makes a car coast along faster, like going downhill on a push-iron and taking the feet off the pedals ie The faster you go, the more brakes you need to slow down. Try it, Barrie....go down a hill, take your foot off the gas and pop the car into neutral or alternatively press the clutch down.....you will feel and see the car going faster requiring more in the way of brakes to slow down....yet if you don`t pop the neutral or press the clutch down when easing off the gas the natural engine breaking will slow the car down in addition to wind resistance and less use of the brakes. I know what I`m talking about...I too have done many 100s of 1000s of miles, both on bikes and in cars and am an ADI having 20 years experience. My opinion of stop/start is roughly the same as yours....file it under bin or `useless gimicky tech`, but, the fact is when a car is at idle, either in neutral or just using engine braking to slow a car, the fuel burnt is roughly the same in modern engines ie Cutting the engine off totally with start/stop saves a minimal amount of fuel, whereas coasting compared to not coasting wjile engine braking saves nil unless the engine cuts out, hence, coasting saves nil fuel and requires more in the way of brakes to bring the car to a stop. Constant coasting on the driving test will result in failure for that reason.
