i own one. its a pretty good everyday car. easy to drive around downtown, smooth on highways, and good on rugged roads. ive been getting 24 mpg in the city.

The fuel tank holds 12.7 gallons (48 liters) of gas or diesel.

Did you study Histrionics at the University of Over Embellishment... this is just the entry level Jeep that they need. By selling in large volume that leaves more room for R 'n' D for the "real" Jeeps. BTW watch some of the videos of this thing in 4X4 guise... it is a very capable and affordable car... to be honest it beats the heck out of some of the more recent poor excuses that have worn the badge... and if you'll remember the XJ Jeep Cherokee from the 80s... it was a joint development effort between AMC and Renault... I'd personally love to have one... they've got some awesome engines that will be offered along with some solid drivetrain options... I may opt for the 2 wheel drive vehicle... I'd like mine in red... just like the 88 and 98 Jeep my parents had through-out the nineties... if you want to talk about shitty Jeeps look no further that the brand new Cherokee... It is an attractive car if your someone who has cataracs...

jeadelmann90 It is a Fiat. The CEO has said that the new Wrangler will be a unibody more than likely as well as not made in Toledo. As this is just a rebadged 500 which got the lowest rating by consumer reports in December. You believe that there will actually be R&D ? No the real Jeeps will be dead in 2016 when the current Wranglers cease production. I hope you actually do buy one tho ........ you possibly will find about Fiat reliability and dependability.

jeadelmann90 The four least reliable brands are Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Fiat, all owned by Chrysler. Consumer Reports says Chrysler has traditionally had more than its fair share of trouble, and with the addition of Fiat in the mix, it really has not helped. In fact the new Fiat 500L is ranked the least reliable car out of the 248 that Consumer Reports rated.

Redneck Garage Well we'll have to see how they hold up... the wrangler doesn't have a stellar reliability track record... just look at it's J D Power rating... but it's still pretty popular among enthusiasts... it will be interesting to see what changes they decide to implement... if any at all... in honesty I haven't paid to much attention... my favorite Wrangler was from 97-2005... straight six... I also had a 1998 straight six 2 door Cherokee... that car was awesome... this Renegade kinda reminds me of that car... Well whatever it changes into hopefully it's for the best. also the Renegade isn't a 500... the 500 is a micro city car... The Renegade shares loose architecture with the 500L... implying that there are some serious design differences among both vehicles... but somebody can berate the vehicle and make that assertion if they want... It is going to become increasingly more difficult to sell a car like the wrangler... solid axels, body on frame... immediately what comes to mind, as a potential problem and a possible reason for a unibody structure would be trying to met stricter federal crash test ratings... not to mention that it gets pretty poor fuel economy... different topic though... but whatever it changes into it stands to reason that they'll be conservative, mindful and make a calculated decision that takes into account the wishes and desires of the faithful and the uninitiated who'd potentially be interested in it.

jeadelmann90 so you just made my point. The jeep brand as we know it is dead. The JK was probably the best Wrangler made agreed and your Cherokee was an awesome vehicle too. Sadly putting a Jeep emblem on a Fiat does not make it a Jeep like once was made in the good old USA in Toledo. Will you be attending the funeral ? :)
