I purchased a black lx on Dec 30th on an end of year sale for 17K. It was brand new with only 12 miles, 12 not 12k. I luv everything about the car and especially for the price. Honestly a V6 is not needed because it's fast as shit without barely touching the pedal. Very spacious also. The drive is very smooth.

just got one 2 weeks ago. I'm 6'1 250...It's very spacious. Lx with the gdi gets up good for a 4 cylinder again a surprise. I'm coming from a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T so I'm judging off that size and speed. The Kia is an outstanding car!

God job. It's just that my 274 HP SX-Turbo SMOKES the 245 in the new one. Kia said it "improves drivability" that is code for "doesn"t explode while still under warranty. I try to drive in a sane manner, but that turbo kick and crushing BMW 525's never gets old. Also, my 2012 front end design, like yours, is the focal point and why it looks so gorgeous. Look at the Windshield design, how it fits into the roof. beautiful. I am 6 foot 2 and have no issues geting in or out. The seats hold up well. I have 48,900 milees on my 2012 and since I bought the B2B 100k mile extended warranty (I have 3 kids). So, I have 2 payments left, and 52,000 more miles of warranty, plus free oil changes and state inspections....plus car washes, for life. This one is a keeper. I was going to trade....but my girls are going t need a car, and daddy needs a new Mustang. LOL.

I own a 2014 KIA Optima Turbo, I have owned over 30 cars in my life, and this is my second favorite one (my favorite one will always be my first car, a 1974 Dodge Dart that was already 11 years old when I got it). I got a 7 seater 2014 KIA Rondo for my wife and you will never have her driving anything else. Yes I am a KIA fan, but i really love all cars!

@6:45 no, leave the vents alone, they look real enough to be NOT cheesy. I think they accentuate the car's overall good styling. I drove this car (2.4 liter) as a rental and I almost could not find anything to complain about Tire noise from road irregularities at highway speeds does get inside the cabin, but the car is quiet on smooth roads. Idle quality from inside the car is amazingly silent and vibration free. Throttle response is top-notch as can be expected from these new drive-by-wire systems, and transmission shifts are seamless smooth. The body is tight, flex-free and rattle free. Interior materials were also good. This car's overall quality shows that Kia is doing its best (and doing a good job at it) in keeping up with the benchmarks.

Got pretty much this exact car but grey over the weekend and I’m honestly impressed with the features it has for the price we got. Even heated back seats. Crazy! The cabin is also one of the quietest I’ve been in. Rides well. I wish the door panel arm rests extended longer kind of a weird length and form. The infinity speakers are great but are in a weird spot and get reverb through the doors. Gonna put some speaker rings around them and sound dampen the door. It’s only been a few days but I’m loving it so far.

I like the front seats have the plastic that covers the back. When kids are in front facing car seats, their feet are at perfect height for kicking the back of the front seats. The plastic is easy to wipe clean and prevents any stains from kids shoes.

I had a Kia Optima. While the car looked nice, it had a few problems. The paint on the hood started to chip off. I showed the dealer and told him it was defective. He said it was not a 'defect', rather it was an 'effect' of how I am driving. So it was not covered under warranty. The back window started to make a rattling sound. They said it was the cold weather and to come back in the summer. It developed a minor oil leak. They tried three times to fix it. The final time they said there was nothing more they can do. Sorry sir. The car began to pull to one side on the road. They said "it seems ok to us sir"... The leather seats started to wear out prematurely. That's when I realized that the 10 year warranty is of no use if they deny my claims and can't fix legitimate issues. I wound up trading it in a year later.

Korean cars have come a long way say 15 years ago. I never thought i would ever like Kia or Hyundai. I have owned a few Japanese, American and German cars. All have had good points and also bad points. But for the money, you cant overlook the features it comes with. It definitely opens up the market for more choices and it gives the consumer more options out there. I just bought. Hyundai Genesis Rspec and its been pleasant so far.

I have a 2013 optima LX model with the convenience package which includes power driver seat and a rear view camera, so you don't need to pay a lot extra for these features and I really like the 30+ mpg I average.

Excuse me sir, but those fins on the side of the car MAKE THE CAR! Ford has copied them tremendously. It looks ridiculous on the ford escape. I have the kia Optima 2012 and it's a great car. The electric steering is sooooo sweet ! Handling and acceleration is beatiful. That's it . Your doing a good job over all bro.

haven't been too impressed with my optima. newest car I've owned. check engine light came on a week after I got it. only get 14-17 mpg now. trying to figure it out still. radio messes up now when you turn the volume up. not quiet cars there is a lot of road noise.

I hate how you have to spend over $3,000 on the EX trim just to get the damn rear view camera when other mid-size sedans have it standard on more trim levels. Couldn't care less for the other features in that $3,000+. Kia only offers it standard on the top of the line Limited trim.

I just test drove this car. I really like the car but this review fails to mention the poor audio system. If you wanted to upgrade you have to start at the EX, and then still upgrade to the tech premium package. My 2000 jetta has better speakers than this car. Secondly, since this car is under the european style, the rear window is small. The would be personal preference or something to get use to.

I have the 2015 LX and I absolutely love it. I am in awe of it since I've never had a brand new car before. I went with the cheaper model and it still has tons of features. Mine is pearl white. Fun to drive! Quieter than my old vehicle and rides smooth imo. Good luck :)

Just traded in my 2013 Kia Optima, too many issues had it less than a year, brakes go prematurely, Seats are very light if you get cloth shows every little stain. The passenger seat is extremely low can’t see over the dash unless you’re taller. Also had a lot of issues with battery and electrical. My lights would stop working one day, work the next. Everytime it rained my car wouldn’t start. Deff not worth the money.
