I have a 2013 Soul Plus with a manual transmission that I bought in 2017 from the original owner. This car has given me zero problems. I have the oil changed every 3-4k miles and I've replaced the tires and front brakes one time each. Odometer is just under 100k miles. The acceleration is nothing to write home about, though the 2.0l engine is a help, but otherwise I'm very happy with this car.

Got this exact car and color last year with only 20,000 miles on it, i’ve had no issues with it and for being my first car I am absolutely in love with it

Yesterday, I bought a 2015 Kia Soul Base with original 51.500 miles on it. Still figuring it out, and very happy so far. I did a lot of research on a few vehicles and the Kia Soul Base remained at the top of my list, and did not want "extras" from the other trim packages - I just wanted something very simple, after driving my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT truck for 23 years (it still runs great) with 171K miles on it.

How much do you pay for your Kia soul?

i bought a 2015 Kia Soul Base with 203k miles on it. Talk about a gamble. It now has 263k miles on it after 4 years of ownership. I love this car. It's been pretty reliable so far other than the front catalytic converter that needed to be replaced which is a common issue. Keep a close eye on those catalytic converters!!! Luckily, Kia corporate covered the cost otherwise it would've been a $2k+ repair bill.

I have a 2015 Kia Soul Base model I bought at 90115 miles on it. It is a very nice vehicle. Acceleration on this car is really good. I had a check engine light on when i bought the car which turned out to be the Catalytic Converter which the place i bought it at replaced it free of charge. It is even roomier than my 2016 Nissan Versa Note. These cars have awesome radios too. These have very comfortable seats as well. I can see why people continue to buy these cars!

So what are the differences between the 2015 and 2016 Kia Soul base models? Other than the 2106 not having a touch screen, backup camera and center console.

In the 2015 base model, you would have to upgrade to Soul+ in order to have the touchscreen, whereas the 2016 base model offers it in a convenience package. Other than that, the 2016 drops the manual 6-speed transmission, achieves marginally better fuel economy, and updates the exterior design compared to the 2015.

Does the bluetooth include music or just phone? How many miles did this bad boy have on it? Im looking at a 2015 base right now priced at $12500 with 27500 miles on it... think i should pull the trigger? What do you think a good negotiating price would be? Thanks for the clear and straight to the point video btw🔥

Eek, manual, is a bit better. I test drove a few new in 17. I decided on a low mileage manual 2015 XB. It was a lot better.

100% agree. The XB is far more practical in comparison (I do have a video on a 2009). When it comes to the Kia, it falls down to ultimately from what I saw the price for a similar experience, and you don’t plan on having it beyond 150k miles. It’s an okay vehicle that answers to it market, and that market isn’t in it for the driving experience. Sure the segment is mainly practical, but for the price? Kia answers, and you get what you pay for.

@@thepassinglane I keep my cars for long hall. I enjoy the XB and it will still be excellent with 250k

@@djkenny1202 I noticed the XB is able to deliver on most needs in its segment, including longevity which is a cherry on top.

@@thepassinglane built in Japan does not hurt, either. Great video. I’m avoiding Kia. Buying a low mileage Toyota just makes so much more sense to me.
