This is the best Ghibli review I've seen so far. I'm glad somebody really gets it. It's really amazing how all top automotive journalists completely miss the point of this car, don't understand the purpose of it, and bash it for stupid reasons.

No car is perfect....coming from 2015 BMW 5 series that had plenty of faults as well so....I got my ghibli for ALL of the amazing attributes it does have, not the few cons. Very good review thank you

@@unklecorky2181 Yes while driving the car is important, so is the interior no? you're gonna be interacting with things like the screen, and in the newer Maserati's they've been actually fantastic, but the 2016 and lower models are most certainly not worth 80k. maybe 60k.

I just picked up the 14 ghibli sq4 I love the car it's so perfect and fast I payed 16,500 cash so no payments and I'm stoked on it man thanks for the video

Question how do you know you got an SQ4 vs just a Q4? Becuase there is no S on the back i want to buy a 2015 one but dont want to gdt ripped off

with respect to your early comment about mercs and bm's, I have owned several of each and they almost broke me with stupid electronic/computer issues. I am going to try one of these. I had an S8 as well and it had this same sound, but again very expensive to maintain.

I hope you bought it. I bought a 2015 SQ4 in that same range and am loving it. I'd much rather drive this than a new base model Toyota/Kia/Nissan for the same price. The terrible depreciation of the Masaratis makes amazing opportunities for passionate car enthusiasts.

Good review. Most reviewers miss the point. For instance, how do you own your car? You say 'I drive a Quattroporte ( Italian, passion, exotic) or your say' I drive a Four door' (Bland, normal, German) Its the mystic and flavour of the Brand, of the driving feel, How you feel when you walk up to the car..... If you are a grey boiler suit clone by all means by German, if you are an individual buy a Maserati.

Ferrari receives an aluminum metal block from the US, then Ferrari worked their magic in adding components to the Delmar/Chrysler 275 hp engine. Ferrari built these 410 hp cars in Modena italy added the Chrysler entertainment center that is top of the industry.

What it comes down to is, what are you paying for? Are you paying for unnecessary exterior and interior design technology? Or, are you paying for style, performance, and degree of uniqueness as it pertains to standing out from the rest of the vehicles on the road.

Ikr. People also make a huge deal about reliability, and my dad has had one for almost 7 months with no faults! And besides, you’re buying a Maserati for uniqueness, sound, comfort, and joy, not as a car to haul your family to the beach and mountain hikes every day!

I have one in warranty, and the maintenance is $$$. Plus, they specify the wrong oil which burns to the piston intake valve and is $1,800 to clean every 25,000 miles. I'm not poor but I'm definitely not rich; I'm thinking of selling mine. And in Milwaukee, the dealer (International Auto) is the absolutely WORST dealer EVER in my opinion.

Great Car , Gets more attention then cars costing twice as much...The design of the car is classy and you do not get that from German cars , unless you spend 150k plus . Do not get me wrong the Germans make very good cars . Maseratis are rare cars, but very affordable if you are looking for an Italian car.

This comparison to the BMW and Mercedes is futile. I was recently in the market for a car and was undecided between the 2016 ghibli and the 2016 650 gran coupe. Everyone beats up the ghibli for losing value fast, but the $95,000 650 gran coupe (when new) was virtually the same price. So where's the conversation as far as value when it comes to the BMW?
