Fun review. Most reviews are dry and technical. You made it alot of fun. Thanks Man. I had a 4 door Mini copper S, I loved it. Practical, good trunk, Mini Cooper handling. Not everyone will want a Clubman.

There are a lot of 2015s 4 door Mini Cooper S with almost full options at around $25,000 - $28,000 now, while it is quite hard to find a much discounted 2016 4 door s, the 2015 4 door s with a few thousands miles on odometer are at a lot of discounts now.

The manual may be more fun for some, but the automatic gets better performance and mpg.

Hunter W That used to be the case back in the day, but for instance the 8 speed ZF that a lot of cars are using these days foreign and domestic shift faster and get better gas mileage than any manual, DCTs of course too

Hunter W But even for this 2016 mini Cooper S it varies by publication but the automatic does zero 60 in 6.7, the manual zero 60 in 6.8, and the automatic gets 31 miles per gallon combined, and manual 30 miles per gallon combined...

jay czyzyk I think the 3rd Gen 2014 on are perfectly fine, BMW platform BMW engines the previous models used engines from PSA Peugeot partnership ...this car I think should be much better mechanically..

Maybe the 1st-2nd gen minis but since 2014 they use all BMW bin parts. Not that bad if you have a gear head mindset and aren't a useless lil boy with wrench.
