A more Ralliart inspired interior and turbo charged engine with 4WD would be interesting on the ASX. More practical than Lancer Sportback but still fun to drive. The backseat space is not very impressive but for two persons it works good.

Asking Mitsubishi to build something? You have better luck winning the lottery.
@hyylo9 жыл бұрын
+MrGovenator1 Mitsubishi is basically a government department of japan. anything to do with government normally means low quality just like GM and Chrysler. most of the money is usually spent on expensive union benefits.
@buildmorefarms10079 жыл бұрын
+hyylo Except that the Outlander Sport was #1 for reliability according to Consumers Reports, so your "low quality" comment is just your opinion, not reality.
@MrGovenator19 жыл бұрын
buildmorefarms100 Low quality doesn't have to mean reliability though. You can have something super reliable, but it doesn't mean its nice to sit in. Overall the Mitsubishi line up is pretty reliable as far as I know, but just about everything they sell her in the US is outdated in the interior segment.
@buildmorefarms10079 жыл бұрын
MrGovenator1 Ok I see what you are saying...Im the consumer who doesn't feel like they have to have the latest gadget though, I value reliability above most everything else. If its comfy or entertaining but it has issues/doesn't start or run or is not reliable, I will pick old school reliability every time.
@MrGovenator19 жыл бұрын
buildmorefarms100 My self included. It doesn't have to have the most up to date technology for me to enjoy it. Its just hard to cross shop with a Mitsubishi when everyone else makes something much more competitive. Better technology, material choices, build quality (panel fitment), and they are all most all ways cheaper it seems. And if you buy something that competes in the same segment from Toyota or Honda are you really going to be worrying about reliability? Both of those companies rank at the top of overall reliability every year.

"Competitors ... that offer no control over the differential" - Hmm, does the Outlander Sport have center diff? I thought that all it has is a computer-controlled clutch pack.
@buildmorefarms10079 жыл бұрын
+LeadHammer The outlander is one of the few SUVs that has a 4wd lock feature not just "awd" it allows for some control.
@TinLeadHammer9 жыл бұрын
+buildmorefarms100 You understand it is not a real lock? There is no center diff, there is no mechanical center diff lock. All there is - a clutch pack. Your proud manhandling of the 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD LOCK selector is taken as a recommendation at best.

most reliable cars do this. they make subtle changes and fixes. look at fca. toyota. subaru. mazda. f150 has used the same chassis i think for 20years now. dont change what works and the rvr sell well. reliable. and cheaper compared to other Japanese cars. biggest plus side to the rvr compared to other suvs is that you can actually turn on the 4wd unlike suvs like thee escape which is only auto. in the snow belts areas this is pretty much a necessity.
