www.autobytel.c... With a front end that look like it was taken from the Mitsubishi Evo, the Outlander Sport is a unique standout in the contested Crossover SUV market. Outside the U.S. the outlander is known as the RVR, sharing the platform with the Lancer Sedan. The Outlander Sport is available in 3 trim levels: ES, SE, and GT with prices ranging from $19k - $24k.
There are 2 engine choices available in the 2015 Outlander Sport: the first is a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder that makes 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, and the second is a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that makes 166 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the smaller engine is 25 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. The base model has a manual transmission option while all the other models get a CVT Trans. There is also AWD available.

I have the 2.4 engine cvt transmission and I love it. Very reliable, 4WD and all at lower price than any other car manufacturer.

I have a 2017 outlander sport and love it! It’s been very reliable with no issues and the 4 wheel is great. It may not be as advanced as other small suvs bits it’s refreshing to have a more basic suv.

A more Ralliart inspired interior and turbo charged engine with 4WD would be interesting on the ASX. More practical than Lancer Sportback but still fun to drive. The backseat space is not very impressive but for two persons it works good.

Thinking about trading up my 2014 mirage, it's getting a bit small for the family now. I found a half decent deal on one of these at a local dealer. Maybe I'll go look at it.

Asking Mitsubishi to build something? You have better luck winning the lottery.
@hyylo
@hyylo 8 жыл бұрын
+MrGovenator1 Mitsubishi is basically a government department of japan. anything to do with government normally means low quality just like GM and Chrysler. most of the money is usually spent on expensive union benefits.
@buildmorefarms1007
@buildmorefarms1007 8 жыл бұрын
+hyylo Except that the Outlander Sport was #1 for reliability according to Consumers Reports, so your "low quality" comment is just your opinion, not reality.
@MrGovenator1
@MrGovenator1 8 жыл бұрын
buildmorefarms100 Low quality doesn't have to mean reliability though. You can have something super reliable, but it doesn't mean its nice to sit in. Overall the Mitsubishi line up is pretty reliable as far as I know, but just about everything they sell her in the US is outdated in the interior segment.
@buildmorefarms1007
@buildmorefarms1007 8 жыл бұрын
MrGovenator1 Ok I see what you are saying...Im the consumer who doesn't feel like they have to have the latest gadget though, I value reliability above most everything else. If its comfy or entertaining but it has issues/doesn't start or run or is not reliable, I will pick old school reliability every time.
@MrGovenator1
@MrGovenator1 8 жыл бұрын
buildmorefarms100 My self included. It doesn't have to have the most up to date technology for me to enjoy it. Its just hard to cross shop with a Mitsubishi when everyone else makes something much more competitive. Better technology, material choices, build quality (panel fitment), and they are all most all ways cheaper it seems. And if you buy something that competes in the same segment from Toyota or Honda are you really going to be worrying about reliability? Both of those companies rank at the top of overall reliability every year.
@TinLeadHammer
@TinLeadHammer 8 жыл бұрын
"Competitors ... that offer no control over the differential" - Hmm, does the Outlander Sport have center diff? I thought that all it has is a computer-controlled clutch pack.
@buildmorefarms1007
@buildmorefarms1007 8 жыл бұрын
+LeadHammer The outlander is one of the few SUVs that has a 4wd lock feature not just "awd" it allows for some control.
@TinLeadHammer
@TinLeadHammer 8 жыл бұрын
+buildmorefarms100 You understand it is not a real lock? There is no center diff, there is no mechanical center diff lock. All there is - a clutch pack. Your proud manhandling of the 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD LOCK selector is taken as a recommendation at best.

most reliable cars do this. they make subtle changes and fixes. look at fca. toyota. subaru. mazda. f150 has used the same chassis i think for 20years now. dont change what works and the rvr sell well. reliable. and cheaper compared to other Japanese cars. biggest plus side to the rvr compared to other suvs is that you can actually turn on the 4wd unlike suvs like thee escape which is only auto. in the snow belts areas this is pretty much a necessity.

I own a 2015 2.4 and it’s actually the best money your going to spend. It’s good looking. Easy to park. Great gas mileage. Very cheap to maintain. I look at everything else on the road as something I’m glad I didn’t buy. My opinion of course.
