I bought one from the dealer brand new back in 2014 when I didn't know any better. But my wife liked it so much, she ended up driving it to and from her workplace. By the time she accumulated 90,000 miles on it, she gave it back to me, and I kept driving it up to 145,000 miles until I traded it for a new vehicle. There was nothing wrong with it. I could have kept accumulating miles on it because all the maintenance was done at the dealer. I am treating the new vehicle the same way. I follow the required maintenance schedule from the dealer, and keep all the documents in a file.

My wife drives a 2022 outlander SEL AWD. We paid sticker prices. HWY MPG is around 36 A lot of bang for your buck. My only complaint is the engine power. But for her it is fine. She has no complaints. The 20 inch wheels give it a tight ride but you can feel the bumps through the cabin. App doesn’t work great. Being made in Japan and the 100k warranty we decided to buy it. I’m a Lexus. Toyota. Mazda guy. But she likes it and it was a fair deal. Hopefully it last 🤞

As long as ur all seasons are only a few months old they will serve u well in the winter but since it's a new car for extra safety and extra precaution I would recommend u grab a nice pair of used winter tires for dirt cheap and slap them on just to give u better braking range and added stability and control. It’s lack of dealership support. Houston has several Mitsubishi dealers but they are mainly always the most backwards. High pressure, second chance financing, 25 chain smoking, fast talking ex-cons all looking for a commission. Their lots maybe have a dozen Mitsubishi’s and 300 preowned vehicles. Until Mitsubishi cracks down on dealer network, a lot of people won’t go to them. No matter how much of a value they are.

@Harold Beauchamp 100% agree. It's not that Mitsu made bad cars, they just made bad business decisions. I remember in the 90s and early 2000s when Mitsu was going toe to toe with the big Japanese MFGs in the NA market. What's weird though is their overseas presence is huge. For example in Australia, Honda is pulling out and Mitsu is 2nd only to Toyota. Perception is reality it seems.

Big kudos to Mitsubishi for putting a standard flat 4 engine in this vehicle. Simple to work on and reliable, no fancy gimmicks. They're great. I have 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L, 4wd with CVT. I brought it used at 70,000km in 2015, and I'm 5th owner, not sure why so many previous owners but it was selling for only $14,000(cad) .... I took it. 8 years later and rolling at 200,000km I have zero issue other than regular maintenance. It surpassed all of my previous cars for these range/timeline of car ownership, I'm very impressed or is it just a dumb luck. No plans on getting rid of it, I'd keep it for another decade.

I've had a 2008 EVO Lancer GSR since new. After 250,000km, it needed a new clutch and a turbo. The turbo was still working but a check of the bearings showed that it was about due for replacement. These are both wear items IMO, so I was OK with that. The only thing that bothered me was the AYC pump, which had to be replaced 3 times. The third one was relocated from behind the rear differential to inside the trunk, and it never gave any problems after that. Mitsubishi should have replaced the first two under warrantee, but they didn't which is why I think that 10year/100k warrantee is completely fraudulent. Otherwise, the car is great and I still drive it today.

Thanks for the review! -- I bought my 2023 Outlander PHEV (SEL Premium) 4 weeks ago - local dealer had 7 Outlander PHEVs on the lot. I got it for $1,200 UNDER MSRP and the dealer gave me $31,500 for my 2018 Acura TLX -- I paid $18,000 plus tax for the Outlander. I have driven 1,040 miles -- getting 72 MPGe. I am plugging it in every night for my daily commute and weekend errands. It feels "luxurious" inside -- premium leather, panoramic roof, 360 camera, power folding side mirrors, heated, steering wheel, heated seats, hands-free tailgate, head up display, Bose speakers AND massaging seats! If I take a longer drive, I will have no "range anxiety." Plus, the Outlander has a 10-YEAR WARRANTY. ONE BIG NOTE: the owner's manual clearly states that the 3rd row is ONLY for people under 5' 3." I do not need a 3rd row, so I "tri-fold" it. This opens up a HUGE, DEEP storage well. And, I can stack duffel bag items on the folded 3rd row! The RAV4 Prime may have better overall mpg, but the 18-month wait and $12,000 "dealer adjustment" are outrageous. One local dealer wanted $65k for loaded Prime with MSRP of $52k. I did not consider Kia or Hyundai brands -- "Kia boys" have stolen 3,000 of them in my area (and assaulted drivers in the process). This is a real issue. Lastly, my home solar panels will be installed in 6 weeks along with a Level 2 charger in my garage. The Outlander PHEV is the PERFECT choice for me in 2023. Final note: the local dealer now has 14 Outlander PHEVs on the lot and offering $1,250 off MSRP. Availability, luxury, value and price -- a great vehicle to "step into" electrification!

I have to give it to Mitsubishi on this one ☝️ The build quality is tremendously better than expected and honestly the value is truly unmatched period. By the way the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is one of only a few vehicles in its class to receive a perfect 10 out of 10 vehicle safety report. The technology is very well equipped without going overboard. Comfortability is much better than expected with plush seats that honestly are better than manny vehicles in a much higher class. Very few hard plastics found in this interior which was not expected at all. Honestly if they went just a little further it would be in a luxury class and even still surpassing manny luxury vehicles. It’s fast enough but by no means fast… however the Phev has a nice pep to it’s step for a vehicle of its size and 38 to 54 miles pure electric range which is pretty impressive considering this price range. 3rd roll seat is very tight and will require adjust both front and mid seats if you want to keep those legs.. But in a pinch a great feature for kids or short trips. All LED lights.. can’t say that for its competitors or again even vehicles in a much higher bracket. Overall I would recommend
