This is an accurate review, especially the summation of Cayenne vs Macan. I now have a 2016 Macan Turbo and have to say it is an exemplary vehicle, a blast to drive, and IMHO if you don't need the room in a Cayenne the best Sports Car SUV available. I did own a CayenneS for 3 years so I measure it against that experience.

Great car and I hope you guys get the brilliant diesel version too !!! Amazingly with all the options on the Test-Car there were still a number of blanked off buttons around the Gear-Stick, now that would really pee me off !!! How much would it cost in options not to have any blank button ?? !!

I just loveee this thing. I think it looks better than the Cayenne and sorry to say including the freshly launched 2015 car too. I was hoping the tail lights would look more like the Mccan which is more stylish and Porsche-like if you will. I haven't checked out this car in real life yet, my only concern is whether the boot will be big enough to carry a Weimaraner and a Doberman, probably not.

The Indonesian Naming thing is B.S. I'm afraid! In the Indonesian language the name Macan would be written as MAKAN in Bahasa Indonesia. MAKAN in Indonesian means Food in BI!!!!!

Macan as in tiger is spelled macan in indonesian language. In fact, Porsche Indonesia pronounced macan in our native pronounciation when launching this car here. "Makan" is how english reader pronounce macan, and makan in m-a-k-a-n spelling does not mean food, it means eat.

Many are leased but the purchase contracts aren't much different as the percentages go (down-payment/loan). A manager I once knew bought a used Mercedes for something near $100K. His payments were about $900 per month! He could deduct the expenses through his business but it still one hell of a car payment!!

Those are two quite different flavors of SUV. I rode with some friends a few years ago in a Tuareg diesel on a 200 mile round trip. That is/was a very nice ride. It had no problem in the fast lane but I don't know what it's limits were. It was a very nice black on black cruiser that would get you where ever you needed to go... quickly.

TOTALLY different vehicle with a different mission . . . If one were looking for a Cayman with a back seat, all wheel drive in mini SUV form - this is your vehicle. It takes qualities of the Cayman and translates them to a new form. In short, this is for people that WANT a Cayman but NEED a rear seat and some utility - just not as much size.
