Akeem…! Thank you so much for the extremely important video. I just spent a week under the hood and after having to cut my terminal wire’s at the terminal end and then tube spliced the wires to extend the length of them to reach the new positive terminal. It worked!!! It cleared the warning light and know have my power steering back!!! So thankful my man.

Awesome! This was great info, thank you brother! In my case my truck got flooded in water and that wire that goes to the rack and pinion is probably the problem. I checked the fuses on that battery terminal and they seem good, at least the terminal is clean. It has not stoped raining but I'll jump on it as soon as it stops!

Mines doing the same thing where you able to visually see if the fuse was blown just curious, got the terminal on order just in case.
@AkeemGoodman Жыл бұрын
Yes take that clear plastic cover off that's on the terminal. It was hard to see through it. You can also jump the cables from the positive battery terminal directly onto the terminal that the power steering pump wire is mounted to. If it works that's your problem.

Yo bro, I have a 2013 ram i want to hopefully try this tomorrow to see if it can fix mine because im tired of this pain in the ass steering and I dont have 3k to put on new parts. So what exactly did you do sorry im not mechanically inclined lol. Looks like you have 2 reds hooked up to the positive??? Or how does that work??? and how are you jumping it, is the other end connected to a car or another battery??

Inside of that terminal is a fuse. If that fuse is blown you'll need a new terminal. There's also a recall on some pumps so check that too

So, it's not very clear what the problem is. If I'm understanding correctly, you saying the problem in your truck was a blown fuse at the positive terminal of your battery?
