Hi! It may be your battery voltage. EPS (Electric Power Steering) needs those 12V in order to work properly. If your battery or your alternator is not keeping the voltage over 12V then you will have that issue. Two solutions you can do (These worked on my Corolla 2017 and 2018 LE version both over 110k miles): 1) Change battery, Serpentine Belt and check that the alternator is keeping voltage over 13.8V when car is on and running. 2) Use Dielectric Grease, Synthetic Grease or Red Tacky Grease to lubricate both sides of the steering racks. Left side (driver side) has teeth and the passenger side is just a shiny tube of metal, you will have to take out the wheel and inner/outer tie rod in order to lubricate inside. You can change the inner tie rod as well for better handling. Good luck 👍🏼

Currently having this issue with my 2014 Corolla. It started when I went to pull out of my spot midday and heard a strange crunch when I turned the wheel pulling out. Since then my cruise control and horn have stopped working all together. Got home today and when I went to start my car I got a steering wheel light on my dash and my engine will not start. Not sure if it's my EPS fuse, or what it might be

Battery Is new..and I fixed it. It was the rack and pinion.. Toyota dealer told me I had to replace the all system steering column, EPS motor and rack and pinion. But just rack and pinion fixed it

I faced the same issue in Honda city 2015 model. Service guy changed the complete steering column and steering kit. they charged me 50000. After 1 month facing same issue and this time they changed the fuse and it worked. And they said if you face the same issue then you might need to buy the new steering Column as they used the 2nd hand part. Seems like they charged 50000 for doing nothing. I don’t know why people do scam. Can’t they earn by doing the right thing.

Hi, I drive a Honda City 2014 and I'm having steering problems. When driving on high speeds, car fluctuates and I see the EPS light turn on making it hard to steer then car comes back to life and the steering wheel loosens. Also when I'm trying to maneuver, particularly parking, when I press on my brakes and steer, EPS light turns on and the steering wheel becomes very hard to turn. Do you have a code for the fuse that you bought? I might try changing the fuse first before changing other parts.

@@king39th33 try this trick to get the relay to kick on…. Turn car on, then turn it off. Remove key. Wait 30 seconds. Then put key in ignition and turn so lights on dash turn on but don’t start car yet. Wait 2-3 mins then start the car. The power steering relay should kick on. If it doesn’t try those steps a few times. Let me know if it worked. If it doesn’t work, are you able to drive without the power steering? Or does your steering not turn at all?

@@king39th33 You should hear a faint click sound (sounds like a light switch being turned on) near the top of steering wheel when the power steering kicks on. The relay in Older cars can take a little longer to turn on . Usually takes me about 3-5 tries to get mine to work. Let me know if it works for you
