I own a 2016….and its the BEST truck I’ve ever owned! And I’ve owned a few in my 65 years…..

absolutely love this truck, RAM is personally my favorite. I own a 2013 Laramie RAM and I was considering trading up to the 5.7 liter v8 Laramie longhorn but after this great video I'm convinced! the overall design shows that the folks at dodge really took time detailing the interior. Reliability wise I haven't had anything wrong with my ram so I'm sure reliability isn't a concern. If you keep the maintenance up and take care of it you shouldn't have any problems but it does come with a 60 month 100k powertrain warranty. Overall, this a great truck and video!

I remember early 50's Chrysler products had push button shifting on the dashboard. That knob is a similar idea.

Love this truck, maybe my favorite model in the Ram line-up.

I don't understand why people expect a truck to be fast. If you want fast, get a fucking car and a brain.

Nice! Dodge offers 3 Cummins Diesels in their Ram Pickup Trucks...... i really need to do my homework. I need to know if the Eco Diesel is powerful enough for what i'll be doing. Plus i need to find out which of the Cummins is the most reliable.

Great overview Dan! I'd like to see what MPG this gets just cruising on the highway at 70 mph, vs the 5.7 Hemi.

Thanks matt4270! An extended Hemi vs EcoDiesel MPG test would be awesome …
@robertbaratheon92899 жыл бұрын
+matt4270 The Hemi loves 70mph. My father has one that gets 23mpg. I'm sure if you get a standard cab with a short bed you could 25mpg or maybe a little more. I've heard the EcoDiesel getting 32-33mpg on the highway.

Why in the world would you compare a colorado and canyon to a full size truck? Oh wait ... you're not from Texas nevermind. lol

I really do love the look.. But.. It's a Chrysler. I'm unsure about the reliability of this one.

Heartagram Ram has a 60 month 100k mile powertrain warranty
@zsoltberes63249 жыл бұрын
+Autobytel That's nice, but generally its after that point that things go wrong. I'm not talking about regular maintenance parts, shocks, brakes etc.
@amirkazemi25179 жыл бұрын
+Heartagram I have owned 3 of the RAM 1500's over the years. They are solid performers with excellent quality. I have not had to take mine in for any warranty repairs. I own the trusted & proven Hemi.

+Heartagram...I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with the Hemi. It now has 165,000 miles and I still love it. Yes...it has had it's share of dealer visits but I think honestly, all vehicles will. Perhaps Toyota not so much but I hate the look of the Tundra. Good luck on your decision.

Heartagram my boss has had 4 dodge rams and puts lots of mileage on them (I've drive 2 of those). No problems at all, so he keeps buying them.

That truck blows them all away. I am getting a tradesman eco. I have dogs I cannot put a dog on that leather. Ram is what the others will need to bow too. Ford is a joke with the tin can they put together.
@robertbaratheon92899 жыл бұрын
+Wes Razz They all follow Ram. When Dodge redesigned the Ram back in '94 the other brands followed. The '97 F150 looks a hell of lot like a '97 Ram 1500 and Chevy followed suit as well. People say they're shit, but I see tons of them on the streets. The dealerships know it too. Hell, you can almost get new Mercedes or BMW for less than a Ram.

Dodge engines are underrated. The scat packs are rated at 25 highway and they get around 30. Even autobytel has a video of it

I’ll call your hand there... I have a Ram 1500 quad 4x4 Bighorn with a 5.7 Hemi and added a K&N air intake that improved mpg .5 (and horsepower) to 19-20 combined IF I granny it. Stomp it and it drops to 16-17 combined mpg.
@robgrune32848 жыл бұрын
caveat emptor. this motor has some serious design flaws. never designed for towing. repairs and mods will cost over $20k to put to rights. tranny flawed also. imho, this a grocery getter hyped to be a tow vehicle. decide accordingly.
