Don't thank RAM, thank FIAT. The Promaster City is actually a Fiat Doblo outside of the U.S. That 13mm nut is VERY typical of European cars like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, etc.

Thanks. The dealer tells me my 2016, 87,000 mile PRomaster city needs oil cooler replaced. It’s leaking and it will mess up transmission. $900. If you can upload any video on this van please post it.

Thanks for this instruction. Are there any precautions or reset procedures regarding the electrical system when disconnecting the battery? Also there have been some instances where the OEM battery leaked and due to the drain location the leaking acid flowed down the drain and onto the plastic transmission pan and corroded the transmission pan. This resulted in leaking transmission fluid and contamination of the transmission. Have you experienced this?

Replace the factory battery with an AGM type and be sure to change out the battery terminals in under a minute or your Promaster City might enter into limp mode (you'll have to town it to the dealership and pay $200 to $300 to get the proxy alignment procedure done.

Thanks Justin. The service info states under the front portion of the rear floor covering. No good picture found but under the carpet or mat. I recommend looking underneath to get a good idea about where the tank is located and then about in the middle is where you should expect the pump location. Then locate that area inside and pull back the carpeting or mat to access the cover and 3 fasteners.

Great Video Buddy, I got an 2015 Ram Promaster 3500 Diesel, I installed an aftermarket Alarm system, and the guy who did this unplug the main plug-in in the fuse panel. Since then, am getting faults reading. For example, with a full tank, the Range use to show me 918km (Highway) , now it showing me 768km. I drove the Van for 870km on highway, Doesn't match the reading on my dash. And the alarm system doesn't work properly. They are telling that the van need to be reprogram, something to do with the cambus. Any suggestion thx

How about showing an oil change on both the Promaster 3.0L diesel & the 3.6L V-6. the V6 oil filter removal looks very tight.

I have a 2018 Promaster city . Is there any way to get battery status and volts from the menu inside? Why would they leave this off?? Also, I was wondering if possible to upgrade the battery to something with 200 minute Reserve Capacity (vs the 120RC OEM has). I see a dual purpose marine battery from Exide with plenty of cranking amps that appears it would fit.

There are some things in the menus and others not. Just depends. As far as the battery....no issues that I know of when it comes to upgrading. Just make sure its the same physical size.

@@MotorCityMechanic Hi. Still thinking about this. To get 200+ RC seems the batteries are physically longer by a few inches. @4:44 how long is that battery? Any chance the base on my 2018 would open up to allow for a battery that is 14in long vs ~12 inches long?

I just bought one of these new last March and the battery has already gone bad the other issue besides that is that no auto shops like pep boys autozone care this battery O Reilly's does but I think I could buy a spare car for the price. JJ. MC M do you know if this is covered under warranty for the first 15000 miles?

Batteries are covered under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. So as along as it meets that.....it should. They will want to test it first to be sure. Thanks for asking and for watching

My Promasster will not start. Not sure what is problem. I was able to start in the morning. After I stopped at the store for 15 mins I could not start it. Tried boosters it worked. Then it happened again. Now it will not start. Even with the bo.ster. Anyone here has any idea what can it be? Thank you
