This is my 2015 Ram R/T. I was asked to do a full review through the comments and here it is. I hop you find it helpful.

I had a 2014 Ram 1500 express, single cab, with the 8speed. That 8 speed is a monster. I drove it 60k hard miles before I sold it, and the transmission never had 1 issue. It is amazing. Also, having a RC SRT10, these newer trucks are just overall, great!

I own a 2016 RAM Big Horn extended cab. I can't say enough about it! Love the truck. Took me a little while to get used to that "trash on the dash" shifter, but I think it's great now. That 8 speed auto works flawlessly. We drove it down to Texas from Ontario, Canada last summer without even a tick. Ran great, was decent on fuel and it was quiet and smooth. The 8.4" Uconnect screen is the best on the market. SOOO easy to use. I'd like to put a performance exhaust on mine as well, but we use our truck for vacations, so I don't think we could put up with the noise for 2000 miles!

I love the shifter. In 2018 I don't know why someone would want a big lever taking up space. I also love the ride height on it. If I can figure a way for it to get better gas and not cost that much I am going to buy the last year for them which I think is 18. I just have been in love with it for years.

Tow/Haul in newer trucks shuts off OD and usually adjusts the shift strategy to a more agressive one, plus might apply more clutches in gear for a better duty cycle

The MDS I believe can be mechanically deleted with new lifters, or deleted with a tuner. The suspension is high because I think they use the same base suspension for all the 1500s so if you buy a 4x4 it will have the same. I think they did this to cut production costs. I have a 2012 and I agree with your video, however, I would add the shifting on mine is a little strange. Granted mine has 60k miles on it now and it has the 645rfe. Good video!

The only thing I'd change is to have a flip up centre console so a 3rd person could get in if needed. Well also mine is a 12 so I'd like the 8 spd too but 12 came with the 4:10 so hopefully that makes up somewhat for the 6 spd.

great reivew thx. Yes very few if any decent reviews that don't give a serious pov on this truck. Thx for comment on the ride height. I found that odd as well and running running boards on a sport truck doesn't make sense. the pts you bring up are valid, all small things but added together I see your pov. Just small annoying things. I also don't allow drink or foods in my vehicles, glad I'm not the only one as I get ripped for this constantly.

I’m looking into getting one of these rt single cabs or sport single cabs as the 18s are called which is the same thing from my understanding just classified as a trim level lol. Do you get pretty decent mpg on this truck for being single cab and lowered ? how big is your fuel tank ? 26 or the 32? Sick truck 👌🏼 also how’s the truck been treating you any issues? and lastly sorry for all the questions 😅 would u say a certain year of the single cab rt is better than another ?

Korey, I have price of 998 for shocks, springs and factory alignment. This is at a dealership. Can you pass along your hook up? If your getting price in 500-600 that is the retail cost of lowering kit. I agree with you on having dealer do it. Let me know, I'm in daytona .

The rattling in the windows isn't from the exhaust. If you are talking about when the windows are down and you go over any bumps the windows bounce around. It's does that in mine and I've been told by a couple people that most rams have that rattle

Down South TV I have noticed it. But it didn't start until I did the exhaust. It's not big enough of a deal for me to care. I'm getting rid of the truck later this year anyways.

Good and honest review!!! I'm not sure where you live, but here in Louisiana, I appreciate the tan headliner.... I have owned several German vehicles(still do), and my like for black exteriors/interiors, that often come with black headliners.... It makes a huge difference as to how much the interior maintains heat. I'm not sure of the science behind that, but I've found that there is a huge difference. Also you mentioned about the perforated leather? Does yours have vented seats? Or is it that "plasticy" mesh stuff, like in the 2014's?

Go to etrailer and you can get a great hitch that's easy to install and it's only $60. It bolts right to the frame.

I haven't yet. But that's the exact one I plan on buying. My friend has a Tundra TRD pro and he has the BakFlip and he has no complaints. If you looking check eBay. This shop is selling them for 799 shipped. Not bad.

Great review! Nice to get the opinion of someone else from FL. You said that you bought the extended warranty for this truck, but you also made mods to it. Does the exhaust and other mods void the warranty?

No. Normal bolt ons such as catbacks, and intakes do not void the warranty. Things that will are tunes. A tune will void the warranty. But if you save you OEM set in the tuner before you tune it. If anything goes wrong revert back to your OEM set up and then bring it in. I have done this many times with my SRT and they have not said anything. Plus once the computer has been retuned back to OEM specs there is no computer the dealerships have that can trace a tune. They have to prove that a specific modification caused a malfunction which is a lot harder then what you would think.

No. It's very planted. For a truck it actually handles very good. Once I get it lower it will handle fantastic.

No. I just took it to an exhaust shop locally and had them install it. But it did have to be modified pretty extensively in order for it to fit.

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 sport if i lower it will that void the warranty? I also want to change my exhaust will that void it as well?

No. A normal catback won't void anything. And neither will the lowering kit. Now if you do the lowering kit and a component of the kit fails then of course the factory will not honor the warranty cause that's not their part unless you order a kit they sell which Mopar does not offer a lowering kit. Only a lift kit I looked. But speaking for the rest of your warranty yes it is still valid.

I'm looking at a ground force 2 inch front 3 inch rear drop. And yeah it will wake the dead. But that's what I wanted. I do plan to do a set of 12 inch bullet type resonators to quite it down on the highway.

Mine is louder. And a corsa isn't a true dual. It's a bolt on to the existing Y pipe. I have intentions on forced induction and a Y pipe would restrict a lot of air flow so I wanted a bullet style muffler and a true dual application. So the only application that would work is the jeep srt8 Borla atak. Plus as far as I'm aware this is the only exhaust like it. Somebody buys a corsa every day. Dare to be different.

I have a 2015 Quad Cab, and when I'm listening to the radio, parts of the trucks interior rattle from bass. I don't blast my music either its at a fairly low level to be rattling things. That's my biggest complaint only because i drive a lot. Other than that, i love the truck.

I know what you mean. My exhaust makes somewhere in the passenger side dash rattle. It annoys the piss out of me. But that was my fault. Not the trucks.

Hey man nice truck I just got my 2015 rt also idk if it's normal from an 8 speed trains, but mine when it changes gear at a constant speed sometimes makes a sudden stop( like 1/2 second) and then pulls really brusque when the next gear kicks in. It has 1,025 miles already. Did you experience the same thing?

I can't say that I have experienced that. I hope I don't. It doesn't sound normal to me. If I were you I would take it back to the dealership and explain the issue. I know I have a friend who bought a 2014 Silverado fully loaded brand new and it's got a transmission problem and they ended up having to buy the truck back cause of the Florida lemon law. I hope this doesn't happen to you. But I would have dodge look at it sooner then later. Good luck.

I was just wondering if it was normal because it was new or if it was a defect from the factory. Now that you told me you didn't experience the same thing I believe it is a problem. I wasn't sure because it runs perfectly normal in the freeway and it only does it in the city. I'm going to have to take it back to the dealer and let them know.

I've seen a dyno video of a 2013 quad cab laying down just over 400tq and about 380hp to the rear wheel on bolt ons and a tune. That's pretty damn good in my opinion. I've talked to some people and the claim that if I go all out and do the best of the best bolt ons and upgrade the injectors and do a custom tune I'll be able to hit over 400hp to the rear wheel which is what I'm after N/A.

Ethan Wright the SRT10 has more power down low. But I feel as if this will take it on the big end. It's also a 10 year difference between truck and a 4 speed auto vs a 8 speed auto.

I found mine on autotrader. It was actually at Milton Ruben Dodge in Agusta GA. They had 3 when I bought mine. All same price and options just different colors. I recommend getting your own financing through someone else. I wouldn't go through a car dealer for a loan. They will dick around with you. Banks are more straight forward in my opinion. Plus it shows your a serious buyer if your prequalified. But go on autotrader. That's my best advice.

What do you mean ??🤨 an Rt is only 2door rwd vehicle where as an express/tradesmen are 4x4 but sometimes can be rwd. The rt has one of the highest trims in ram so obviously a. Rt is better than an express/tradesmen. Also you get a bigger touch screen and electronic clusters in an rt where as the tradesmen/express don’t. Also an rt is only meant for 2 people where as the tradesmen/express are for 3

2 things : First my last 3 dodge trucks I put 500k on 1 and 600,000 milles on the other 2 and they were not driven gently but were not dogged either. The first 2 sold for top dollar when I upgraded. Second with a 5.7 hemi for the best milage use mid-grade or better fuel. I average 25mpg in town and 30-35mpg on open hiway. The salesmen usually do not know to tell you but look on page 192 of the owners manuel. Good luck and have fun with the best truck on the road.

The truck did not just lose oil. The MDS system is whats causing the oil consumption. Chevy has the same problem with their AFM system. I personally like Chevy, Dodge and Ford but i would take the Ford 5.0 over the other V8s just because of its durability and the fact its a V8 all the time.

R Sho no I haven't yet. I just purchased a house and that's been taking up my truck fund. But I don't plan on doing a full drop anymore because of all the bad reviews I've heard about the death wobble. I'm just going to do a 2 inch drop in the rear and leave the front stock. The truck will just sit level instead of ass high.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of opinions whether or not the ride is good. I am going to have to just do it and see for myself. Of course, the manufacturer that offer lowering options, say ride is great. For me, the look with the 2-4 drop is just to hard to pass on.

R Sho around the 500-600 range. I also have a hook up and this was by a dodge dealership as well. I will always pay extra to have to done by licensed Mopar techs incase something fucks up. You never know.

It's more limited. Plus a 3.92 LSD. And it's only available in a 2 door. The sport is only a 4 door.

Not totally accurate. The RT is a 2WD regular cab with 3.92s (I want to say it had 4.10s for a bit too) and 22" wheels. The Sport can have 3.92s but it's available in other cab types and 4WD and "only" has 20" wheels. I live up north and am probably buying a 4x4 Sport with the regular cab next spring.

Korey Waldrop The 2017 builder didn't show it but I do know it was RT-only previously which makes it irrelevant for me. I need a 4WD up here for winter. Either way, my truck will be a factory order, just like my Wrangler was. Unless something goes wrong I can wait for it to be built how I want it.

There are flaws in every car weather you spend 30k or 1.5 million. I love this truck. But as you can see I've changed a lot of the things I didn't like. But they are minor things.

They only make so many per year. They only come in a regular cab. It has a 3.92 LSD. 22 inch rims. Upgraded suspension components. And every interior option available. It also has painted front and rear bumpers and the sport hood and more aggressive front bumper. Next to the limited it's the highest optioned package.

+seraphim combat the sub is located underneath the passenger seat. It's a 10 inch just so you know. And the 2016 have the option for air conditioned seats. The 2015 does not. I do have integrated trailer brakes heated steering wheel and heated seats if you were wondering.

Do the basics for a starter. Exhaust intake and tune. Then step up to a lowering kit and tonneau cover. You should be very satisfied afterwards.

No I drove to GA to save nearly 10k. Every car/truck has things about it someone won't like. From a Prius to a Porsche they all have issues. That's why it's my truck and I can do whatever I choose to do with it. Half of the experience is the ability to change and do whatever you want to it.

Don't like MDS? Do what I do and hit the tow/haul button as soon as you get in. Shuts off MDS and gives you a much better shift point setup.

+Shane Pretzer On 2014 and up RT's that wont shut off the MDS. To shut off the MDS, you have to downshift one time and up shift to where it says -8+ Now you're running all 8 cylinders all the time.

The bumpers accept a ball.... So it's just them being cheap... I managed to get the dealer to throw in a free hitch when I bought my '15 Sport, which I think would've normally been $350usd installed through them.
