It’s always Rennick full ensemble and Innovative videos that are so damn quiet.

This is just some of the most brilliant writing for any ensemble I've ever seen. I'm always blown away by this video. You uncover new nuances every time you watch.

Santa Clara never ceases to amaze me. The composition of every book paul writes has to be the most percussive and melodic out of any corp. The execution as well as composition is impeccable. Beautiful.

+Harlee Eide For audio we used a pair of Røde NT5 microphones inside a Rycote "blimp"-style windscreen fed into an Apogee Duet preamp-D/A converter. EQ was done with the now-defunct Bias Peak Pro 6.

To hell with Blue Devils. SCV has always been best.
@popeyesailor95716 жыл бұрын
The difficulty BD plays is so much more than just ramming notes for 3 min bursts. modulations and rests placed in key spots are much more difficult. cross modulation is something most can't even fathom. I love SCV but BD clearly won in 2015.

We used a variety of cameras: Panasonic GH4 (3), Canon 7D Mk. II, 7D (Mk. I), Sony HDR-CX900, and GoPro Hero 3+. Color grading was done with Davinci Resolve.

Hey! Heavier haunted house noises said no one in the 70's, 80's, or 90's of DCI. Clean as hell though otherwise.

@RennickDrums I would love to hear about your differences in approach to arranging John Corigliano's Concerto between 2006 PR and 2015 SCV.

Is the young lady playing marimba using a cross group? What was the rationale behind that? Was she injured?
@ChadPerc8 жыл бұрын
She uses Burton in her right hand because she has one fewer fingers than most of us. Incredible player on and off the field!
@grt0028 жыл бұрын
Very cool. I'm sure she is an incredible player then and I'm glad she could still do the DCI activity and experience success!

Are those Pearl snare strainers?
@RennickDrums8 жыл бұрын
+Steven Petrey ? no
@Steven_Petrey8 жыл бұрын
They look like the strainers on Pearl snares rather than Dynasty strainers
@RennickDrums8 жыл бұрын
+Steven Petrey I helped redesign these drums, released in 2012. There were two changes this past year, guts and the strainer. The old one had a little play side to side, this one has a wider base and is rock solid. It's essentially the same as 2014 with the exception of the base attachment.

2:25 What instrument is that?
@georgebush82268 жыл бұрын
I supposw you're talking about the glass globe thing? It isn't actually an instrument, it's a soundboard making the noise. I believe they're called plasma globes.
@RennickDrums8 жыл бұрын
+George Bush They're called Plasma Balls from Spencer Gifts. The sounds are played by 5 different players on DTX pads, edited samples of Tesla Coils.
