ERICK MARTINEZ I’ve had them since September of last year and have hade zero issues with them. They’ve been through hot,cold,humid weather and have held up. No issues when I go to the car wash either.

Deuces at the time I made this video it had 1-7/8 long tube headers to a 3 inch Y pipe and a single inch Carven R series muffler.

Tips are just preference really. I had the Corsa style 4” tips and they are on Amazon or some muffler places carry them

chevyxrz I’ve only heard black widow on videos and judging from that I’d say the Carven R is just a tad louder. The black widow sounds good with headers, with just the muffler it’s alright.

out of all the exhaust I have had the Borla ATAK was the loudest and biggest muffler, Carven is probably the cheapest and smallest muffler around $100 for just the muffler with the black widow not far behind it. The borla atak muffler runs around $250-300. I think my next muffler I try will be a Corsa.

@@chasec4478 thanks for the response appreciate it, I'm going to see which one of these mufflers I will try, I have a 90 Silverado but I don't know if these mufflers will go with the truck since it's an older truck I just want a more modern sound kind of tired of the Flowmaster sound if you know what I mean.

chevyxrz doesn’t matter what year model truck. Just depends on what size piping your exhaust has currently. Either way you should be able to find something beside flow masters that you can have welded up to your current configuration.

Bro that's a sexy ass truck and sounds vicious, I have a couple questions if you don't mind. 1st what's the difference between the 2.5 inch and 3 inch? And 2nd Will my truck sound weak with this muffler without any headers

airflow. the 3inch will be a bit less restrictive. but most of the benefit is from removing cats, restrictive bends, mufflers, etc.between aftermarket 2.5 vs 3in. piping diameters, you'll probably see a slight gain going with a 3inch over the 2.5 but I doubt you'd feel it. If it's your regular cats and no headers, no need for a more expensive 3 inch system. Just get some well tested mufflers and you're good to go. It wound sound weak but it wont sound like mine does

Blake Kinkade no never had any issues with them. Not sure what would cause hyper flash unless the plugs aren’t connected all the way.

Do you ever do the research between the Carven R, RPT and the TP (or something.)??? Im very interested in the Carven R, but concerned maybe it will be too loud in the morning for my neighbors, SO the muffler shop said that the RPT was bit quieter..... Cant really find that many videos on the Carven RPT.

Maddox Stephanie Depends on what all you’re running. I have longtube headers and no cats or resonators with the carven R and it’s about one of the loudest setups I’ve had besides borla ATAK. The carven TR is more quiet and the RPT is middle of the range sound wise. If you don’t want to piss the neighbors off of go with the TR

Texas speed long tube headers, cold air intake, full 3' exhaust with Carven R, tuned by spike performance. Going to put a cam in it soon.

Justin White usually when tuning a vehicle a laptop with a pre loaded program such as HP tuners is plugged into the vehicles obd2 plug under the dash and can be manually programmed or a preloaded tune can be used with tuners such as diablo, Blackbear.
