@@referenceplz5547 Very good question! I purposefully didn’t want the street glide because of that same reason. I truly wanted a road glide but I test road a few and discovered it wasn’t bad at all so I jumped on this 14 for 10, 900. My first bike ever, 1,000 mile later, I’m very pleased!

I'm a rider from a different breed and thinking about switching to street glide. my old bike before I broke my back was 09 turbo Busa running close to 360hp to rear wheel. my back injury is from mishap at work with no workers comp. Good review. I'm about the same dimensions you are. Sold my '06 CVO Ultra late lat summer. Alwyas felt stretched out to the stock bars and it was a heavy bike. Like the new Street Glide for a couple reasons. Better hand position on the stock bars, lighter than an Ultra and the stock seat seemed surprisingly comfy.

Great review!! I'm not a Harley guy but I find myself looking at these Street Glides more and more lately. I'm looking forward to test riding one day. O yes Austin traffic was bad before but damn it has gotten ridiculous now. There's about 200 per day moving to Austin area. So yes for your motorcycle license, you can do it two ways. Either, take the written and riding test or take the MSF Course and written test. BTW, welcome to Austin!

Great video. I'm a smaller guy at 5'6" and mine doesn't suck at all. I'm not always flat footed at a stop (depending on the boots :), but everything else is very comfortable. FYI the vent for buffeting was added in 2014 not 2015. Part of the "Project Rushmore".I find it to be a little effective. You will definitely want to close it if riding in the rain. As for the radio volume. Yes the Harman Kardon Boom is nice but buggy. Sometimes they break more than they fix with their patch releases. Also this bike and a sportsters are two very different animals.

just put on the screaming eagle slip ons, no intake adjustments need to be made and the sound is SO much better than the stock corked up pipes and you and the passenger can still hear the stereo just fine...the gear indicator is a nice touch absolutely effortless cruising at 80+ where my Heritage 88, 5 speed would be huffing and puffing over 80... of course I always observe the speed limit officer, all that being said, if I was much younger I would be riding a V-Rod, that sub 1200cc water cooled Porsche motor is amazing (I know , not classic Harley) such a shame more people didn't discover how great they were/are RIP Harley discontinued a truly great motorcycle...
