2015 Toyota Corolla: Review

In this video I'll do a full review of the 2015 Toyota Corolla. The trim level I will be reviewing is the Corolla S. I'll show you the exterior, interior, engine, truck & then I'll start it up. Don't forget to hear the revs at the end!!! Thanks for watching!

Great review. I just helped my daughter purchased the same model few months ago. Why Corolla? We have 2003 Corolla CE with 630,000 km and still drives like a year old car. The only thing that was replaced in the engine is just the starter at 475,000 km. The front suspension was replaced at 420,000 km, sway bar at 530,000 km, wheel bearing in both front and rear at driver's side at 425,000 km, rear wheel bearing at passenger's side at 600,000km, the other is still original. The rest are original other than the normal replacement of spark plugs, pcv valve, serpentine belt, brake pads. The front rotor is still original! Yes the rotor is 630,000 km. This car is driven around 57,000 km per year, all summer and winter here in Toronto. The only maintenance I regularly do is oil change, cleaning of throttle body and MAF sensor. Drive it normally and I still average 15 km/l during summer and 14 km/l during winter. Ofcourse you have to be a safe and courteous driver to have the car live this long. Am I lucky to continue enjoy driving this car or the fact remains that if you treat any kind of car properly that it will reward you with long reliable vehicle. By the way, since owning this 2003 Corolla CE, only 2 ocassions this car failed to start. First, when after 5 years the battery reached it life, and secondly, when the starter failed. This car just simply starts in all kind of weather condition. Thank you toyota. You are the car that is fun to drive and own.

@@shellyhunt4910 It's about reliability not speed. But they're decent enough that you can get on the highway without a problem! If you want to race though, forget it.

What I think is smart about the body design of this car is that the bumper is integrated all the way up to the bottom of the wheel wells. This is most often where cars get damaged in a minor fender bender accident. Which means less expensive repair in only having to replace the bumper cover alone, instead of having to replace the bumper cover and repair or replace the front or rear quarter panel as well

Incredibly helpful review. I drive a 2004 5 speed Solora and wanted to get a new Camry, but realized the Corolla has gotten a lot bigger and roomier, so decided to go with that. But I was having a hard time deciding which model, but after watching this video you helped me decide between the Le and S, so thank you! You know your stuff.

Gold Pony We just got this tonight. It is awesome and we love it. But I kind of miss my ford ranger. But we get upgraded to air conditioning and automatic. The ford ranger was a stick shift. Now I don't have to worry about driving it anymore and if I want to go visit my dad and brother I can just have him come pick me up and my fiance doesn't need to worry about me.

+uhavemooface Awesome! I ended up getting one too, over the 4th of july weekend. I got the S plus in Slate. I like it, but it's a little slower than I'm used to with my old Solara. But the space and ooohhhhhh not having to drive a stick shift is nice.

Maria Morrison Plus the gas per gallon is great to. You will not have to fill up the gas tank a lot. Fuel economy is way better then going fast I think anyways. Great. I am so glad you got the S model.

I think I'll be getting one of these. My husband's 2006 Corolla LE got smashed 2 days ago so we're going to probably be looking for a replacement. I can believe the 2015 got those safety ratings. Even though they were hit hard in the side (in the 2006 one), the glass didn't shatter and there was very little cabin intrusion by the door. The cop on the scene actually said he was impressed at how the Corolla took the hit.

Is the S Premium the only trim level offered with push button start? Thanks in advance.

PaulMishima A push button start is included in all 2015 Corolla trims except for the "L" & "LE." The "LE" Premium trim and up do come with push button starts.

I got a chance to check Toyota's site, according to them, it's available on the following: L Plus - Optional L Premium - Standard L Eco Plus - Optional L Eco Premium - Standard S Plus - Optional S Premium - Standard Strange that it's not offered at all on the regular S model. Buying Brand New Chevy Cruze Makes me Sad Dear car customers around the world: I bought a brand new Chevy Cruze, manual transmission, on December 10, 2016. One day after (December 11, 2016), while the car was parked at the curb, it rolled down the road hitting another car on its way down. I am sure that I had engaged the parking brake, indicated by the “!” symbol displayed in red on the instrument panel. I’ve been raising to General Motors Corporation (GMC) this question - why is it that the said Cruze, in neutral transmission, rolled down the slope even though the parking brake symbol, “!” (in red color), is displayed on the car’s instrument panel? The GMC explained that: “by design intent, the parking brake warning lamp on the instrument panel (!) will illuminate with the brake lever is raised to the first detent position (first audible click). However, this warning is not an indicator that the parking brake has been fully engaged. Specifically, the Chevrolet Cruze Owner’s Manual Instructs the owner to pull firmly (on the lever) without pressing the release button, in order to engaged the parking brake correctly. The primary purpose of illuminating the park brake warning lamp, even when the parking brake is not fully engaged, is to prevent the operator from driving the vehicle with parking brakes partially engaged.” (letter sent to me by GMC dated April 11, 2017). I disagree with the above explanation by GMC. I maintain that a technical deficiency persists between the engagement of parking brakes with respect to the warning light (!). The Cruze Owner’s Manual does not state anything related to partially-engaged and fully-engaged parking brakes with same warning light (!) displayed on the instrument panel. I am submitting GMC’s explanation, as quoted above, for your views and comments. Thank you and drive safely.

The CE (L in US), the LE and the S have a 1.8L engine that produces 132 horsepower. The LE Eco makes 140 horsepower.
