In F1 they do need to give 'racing room'...

The best race out of the 4 and no it's not because of the crash it's because it actually had people trying to pass rather than just following each other after about 2 laps. Now I'd like to talk (well technically I'm typing but you know what I mean) about the rolling start "issue": 1: I know for a fact that it can work because different categories all around the world use it without any problems ... well no more than a standing start that is. 2: If they made it so they took off on green instead of the AZ bullshit it'd eliminate any confusion. 3: You can't blame the rolling start for the crash when it comes down to the incompetent and/or impatient driving of the people up the back who jumped the start instead of waiting for the leader or the car in front of them to go. I guess what I'm saying is that IF (and I can't stress that if enough) the V8SC ever want to use the rolling start again then they need to make it that they go on green like you see in everything else because it's a lot safer and less confusing for the drivers who clearly can't tell the difference between slow cars and fast cars

I agree about the racing, its all due to the disgrace of having 3 sets for 4 races

If you are rich enough to be a V8SC pay-driver you are rich enough to pay for the repairs your jump start causes, pretty obvious who the main offender is. A sad reflection on the sport that so many cars are in the hands of pay drivers.

Siberian Hamster There's a lot of good pay and go drivers out there. Fernando Alonso is a pay and go driver and he is a double world champion.

Siberian Hamster I like this "because money, it's obvious whose fault it is" rationale. Flawless.

I love the baseless claim that he was a pay driver. That's why he was dropped because he was performing well but didn't bring a sponsor with him, and was replaced by an actual pay driver who was performing poorly...

I thought Australians were smart - a rolling start doesn't start where the green flag doesn't mean go? Thats your problem fellas. Fix that and try it again.
@thomasnixon77029 жыл бұрын
+Jeff Jorgenson Exactly! The problem was that when the green flag was given, long time before the pole cars came to that solid line, it was being waved. The back cars thought the race was on because all they could see was the waving green flag (which in anybody else's racing means go). But the pole cars actually looked like they slowed right to that line (the acceleration line? what's that?), then went. So the two Fords should have been penalized for screwing up. Or the stupid Aussie race organizers who don't know how to organize a rolling start (which in everywhere else, especially North America -- Indy 500, anyone?-- have been proved safer), should maybe learn how rolling starts are done. (Is that possible for an Aussie ?)
