2015 Volvo V60 D4 (181hp) 8-spd. - 0-220 km/h acceleration (1080p)

D5 (2017) = 2.0 VEA 4 Cyl. mit 225PS und ausschließlich mit GT8 erhältlich ... 2.4 5-Cyl. gibt es nur noch als AWD kombiniert mit GT6. Im XC60 gibt es derzeit nicht einmal einen D5, wohl aber den 2.4 5-Cyl. als D4 AWD mit 190PS um Gleichstand mit dem normalen 2.0 VEA-Motor herzustellen ...

Da liegst aber daneben, es reicht die volvo-Webseite anzuschauen. XC60 gibt es auch als D5 mit 5 zyl und 220 ps und leider nur 6gt. Wenn mich nicht irre, der D4 mit 190ps, also 4 zyl !!, den gibt es auch mittlerweile als AWD. Habe mich kürzlich für 2012 mit D5und 215ps entschieden, da 15000€ mehr für 2 Gänge mehr und Euro 6 und kurz vor Einführung des neuen XC60, da war zu viel verlangt.

blauer Drache Weiß nicht, ob sich was geändert hat, aber XC60 ab 2013 gab tatsächlich kein Awd mit 4zyl, zwei jahre später schon, der aktueller XC60 der neue nur 4zyl., wo selbst der 5 zyl zu wenig war, Konkurrenz macht es richtig. Ich bin gespannt, ob ähnlich wie Audi und BMW macht auch Volvo mit update von E5auf E6, dann lache ich aus die die so viel kohle für VEA ausgegeben haben. Durch diese grünen Politik wird nur schlimmer, daher verstehe ich nicht, wo die Idioten her kommendie so eine Partei eählen, aber dss wissen eher die die sich bei Stimmen zählen so gerne auch verzählen, da ich nicht glaube, dass deutsche Volk so blöd ist, willkommen in Sozialdiktatur...

Quiet nice engine. I didn`t like the sound when driving it. It is not as noisy as a D5, but it sounds a little bit asthmatic. :-) Do you think it will be as quick as a D5 Polestar, wenn the D4 optimazation by Polestar is available? :-)

Impressive how low revs it has in the 8th gear.. my 2014 D5 AWD is around 2300 rpm (sixth gear) when doing 130 km/h, going faster won't really be economical for me haha...

Hallo. Wie würdest du den V60 im Vergleich zum aktuellen Octavia Kombi bewerten. Ich finde gerade den Vergleich zwischen dem V60 D4 mit der 8Gang Automatik und dem Octavia RS TDI mit DSG interessant. Preislich liegen die gebraucht auf einem Niveau. Welchen würdest du nehmen?

Aus meiner Sicht ganz klar den V60. Klar, der Octavia ist praktischer und bietet evtl. sogar die aktuellere Technik, aber ist aus meiner Sicht in Sachen Qualität und Geräuschkomfort nicht auf den Niveau des V60, der zugegebener Maßen die ältere Bedienlogik hat und "unpraktischer" ist. Ich würde den V60 D4 nehmen weil: Motor und Getriebe, Geräuschkomfort, Premium Flair. Nicht falsch verstehen, der Octavia RS ist ein sehr gutes Auto, aber eben eher aus der Golf-Klasse und nicht aus der Mittelklasse.

Oh, das ging schnell.^^ Ich hab bisher einfach nur mal ne Sitzprobe in beiden Autos gemacht. Da bin ich auch zum Schluss gekommen, dass der Schwede einfach ein anderes feeling bietet. I'd be interested to see how this car does with the Polestar upgrade to 205 bhp, a local Volvo dealer has one in their showroom, and I quite like it... And I really want them to make a Polestar V40, just like they did with the V60, that would be a great alternative to a Leon Cupra 290 for example.

Schade, dass man dem D5 die neue Getriebe nicht spendiert hat, Marketing eben... Habe gerade meinen gekauften aus Köln nach München gebracht(allerdings ein 2012 D5 AWD 215PS Geartronic) und der dreht trotz zwei Gänge weniger ähnlich, dh., 170km/h mit 2500 und bei 200Sachen geht er mit knapp 3600 Touren. Erst, wenn man dem erprobten D5 8 Gänge spendieren wurde, kann man fair vergleichen und von einem Vorsprung mit dem 4 Zylinder reden ;-) Der D5 Sound ist gepaart mit bullige SuV Aussehen unbezahlbar.

+Takis A. Du vergleichst hier aber Äpfel mit Birnen ... Der D5 mit 215 PS ist ein ganz anderer Motor (2,4L 5-Zylinder). Ein aktueller D5 mit dem VEA-Motor hat 225 PS und das 8-Gang Automatik Getriebe. Da dürfte der "alte" D5 kaum ran kommen.

+MHG1023 Wo bitte gibt es einen VEA als D5 und 8 Gängen ;-) Habe gerade noch mal bei Volvo nachgeschaut. Mit oder ohne AWD den D5 gibt es nur in Verbindung mit AWD und alte 6 Gang Getriebe, als FWD gibt es nur den neuen D4 Vierzylinder mit 8 Gang, der D3 ist nicht die Rede wert... Der D5 hat lediglich 5 PS mehr was das nur dem Software zu verdanken ist.

In Fall von XC90 gibt es deinen D5(4zyl!) mit 235PS als AWD und ...8 Gang Automatic. Jetzt macht es kein Sinn weiter zu diskutieren, wenn du die Daten von Webseite nicht entnehmen kannst. Habe 3 Monate nach XC60 gesucht und im "motor-talk" Forum mitgemacht, letztendlich habe mich für den alten 2012-er mit erprobten D5 als Summum, Xenium entschlossen, statt 15(!!)Tausend mehr für hochgezückten Kleinmotor der mithalten kann, da 2 Gänge mehr umd bis vor kurzem nur FWD, eine andere Tacho und Frontgrill ist ne Geschmacksache. Hätte mich für VEA entschlossen, so wäre ich aus Vernunft gezwungen mit ihm ewig zu fahren und womöglich in 1-2 Jahren traurig den Nachfolger beneiden, mit dem 2012-er kann mir leisten in 2-3 Jahren ein Wechsel zu wagen, sei es der neue oder der aktueller Facelifting, falls sich die neue D4 als gelungen beweisen und die neue XC60 als allgemein uninteressant.

Gandarf Ja, ich bin auch immer noch überrascht wie gut der geht und kann mir irgendwie noch gar nicht erklären warum der allein laut Werksangabe schon 0.8 sec. schneller ist als ein Octavia RS TDI Combi. Letzteren werde ich in den kommenden Wochen zum Testen bekommen, dann kann man die Beschleunigung ja noch einmal vergleichen.

Naja um fair zu bleiben scheint die Werksangabe des Octavia konservativ zu sein. In einer der letzten AutoBild- Sportscars-Ausgaben schaffte er die 0-100 in 7,6 Sekunden, also 0,6 Sekunden unter Werksangabe.

fe1138lix Das stimmt, 8.2 sec. sind schon recht konservativ, genau wie beim Golf 7 GTD. Ich werde mal schauen was mein "Test-Octavia-RS" so liefert, hat wahrscheinlich auch DSG. Nichtsdestotrotz finde ich die Beschleunigung schon sehr akzeptabel....habe gerade mal ein wenig recherchiert, auch ein aktueller 320d hat ebenfalls "nur" 7.6 als Werksangabe, gleiches gilt für den C220 BlueTEC.

emailring I'm not 100% sure, but I think its an Aisin that already supplied Volvos with Gearboxes in the past. A stronger version of this will also be in the XC90 and currently is put into VWs Touareg as well.

Automann-TV It is the Aisin Warner AW-8 Gearbox in this Volvo. Many say it is almost as good as the ZF-8 peed. I think Lexus was the first to use it about 18 months ago in their new models that came out about then. How does this V60 compare to the D5 V60 you drove last year?

mark campbell Well the D5 definitely has more punch and a louder/aggresive sound, but thats not what everybody will like, its kind of raw. The D4 is a lot quieter, still pulls decent and has a way better transmission. I personally would choose this D4.

Stay away from the D4 engine. There is a lot of issues vwith the EGR walve. My car has been to the garage 7 times in the last 30 000 kilometers, and the Volvo mekanic says that I'm not the only one. Sad, because it's a great engine when it Works :(

Erik5071 This is maybe a different D4 to the one you have, this is the new Drive E with 4 cylinders. Watch what fuel you put in yours, use only good quality fuel from the likes of Esso or BP. Also try some "Millers - Diesel Power Eco Max" its brilliant stuff and actually does work, hope this helps.

It's the same engine. And I'm not the only one that have the problems. Volvo has agreed to take the car back. I only use the best quality Diesel (Company car, so I'm not the one paying) The problem is the EGR valve, and my Volvo tecnikian tels me that it is a big problem, and that they changesEGR valves on a daily basis. Sad, because it's a great engine when it's working

Costi, the other fella is right. The engine is Volvo's own - the D4 is one of their new Drive-E engines launched in 2014 (they've also recently launched their new D2 & D3 engines). You are right about the chassis for the current S60, though; it is an adapted Ford Mondeo floorpan, however, for the next gen (expected late 2017) it will be Volvo's own SPA platform that was launched with the new XC90 and which also underpins the new S/V90 series. The next 40 series Volvos will get the new CMA architecture which is another (smaller) Volvo-designed and built modular platform.
