Very good presentation especially when explaining the technical aspect part instead of many competitors keeps repeating the tasting profile over and over again.

If you really master how to give the placebo effect to the judges, you can win. However, most of the judges are Q graders. They are always skeptical about what you said in your coffee and if you lied about your coffee, they will know.

$100 for a cup of coffee yeah right.
@hellomate6396 жыл бұрын
Well, 100 bucks might be steep, but I think it's fair for the curiosity of an award winner. I also think it's fair because I generally support the idea of someone being able to make a modest living by mastering a trade/art like brewing coffee - not unlike people used to be master blacksmiths and make the best, most reliable, effective tools with the most beautiful engravings. The word art used to refer to trades, and painting was not much different than blacksmithing in terms of being a trade/art you'd go into. Diminishing returns is a thing, so it is going to cost that much more in effort to actually create the cup.

This is world competition. Why not? The coffee was not mass produced anyway.
