Hi Kathy Clark, I am Pete, I'm new to your channel. The first thing I watched was you riding out Hurricane Sandy, great video. I used to boat with my dad, he had a 25 foot Bayliner. We went out of Indian River Inlet Delaware, 25 miles between Indian River and Cape May New Jersey, where we would spend the day fishing. I never rode out a storm like you did, however a few times a season we would anchor in Lewes Bay Delaware, for the night. I slept like a log listening to the waves slapping against the hull and the gentle pitching of the boat with the cool salt air coming thru the port holes. My dad is gone now, I'm 62 years old, and since I have some health problems, I simply fish out of my Native Water Craft Kayak at night or day as I can, and I actually enjoy it very much. I go to Hopewell lake In Elverson PA. or Black Rock landing in Phoenixville PA. which is were I access the river. My sister lives in Lewes, and I hope as my health improves to fish the Delaware Back Water Bay near the shore for perch and flounder. My heart lies with being in the salt water and larger craft, but I'll have to live that through your videos so thanks for such nice documentation and taking the time to post videos. You will always get a thumbs up from me as I go back and watch the videos you have already posted and I hope you will continue to post your adventure on your beautiful Yacht...

I'm shocked you did not sell shear madness yet you took good care of that yacht. ( merry Christmas )

A boat like this has a very long sales cycle (average over 12 months), so we expect it to take a while and will continue to cruise in the meantime.

Are you guys still sailing in the Nordhavn?
@nordhavn724 жыл бұрын
No, we retired from cruising and now live in Colorado - mountain time! Shear Madness is now Alchemy and is in the UK

I saw the first one, and enjoyed it. This one IS better, and good music too! How deep is the water where you are anchored?
@nordhavn728 жыл бұрын
Most of the anchorages were 10-12 feet, sometimes less at low tide. We draw 8'.

Hi Darren - we are doing fine. Just completing some maintenance work at Front Street Shipyard in Maine. Will spend the summer cruising Maine. I just got a new camera so hope to make a couple new videos. Thanks for asking!

Is shear Madness up for sale?
@nordhavn728 жыл бұрын
Yes, she's on the market but we will continue to cruise until she sells.
@darrenedger45528 жыл бұрын
Ok. Are u leaving cruising or buying a different boat?
@nordhavn728 жыл бұрын
Not planning on full time cruising anymore. Have been nomads for nearly 16 years so will likely find a land base somewhere.

Sorry, I am just now seeing your reply.. I'm sure after 16 years you ready to settle down. Please continue to update your channel.
