2016 2017 FIT4 Remote clocking (rider's 1 o clock cable exit)

Is it normal to have about 25mm of movement on the Fit4 when locked out? That's standing off the bike pushing down, when riding its less because of rider sag. Just wondering if this is to be expected.

NO, this means the bladder inside has leaked a bit of oil.... you need to top it off, or better yet, do a damper rebuild as the oil that leaked out is not inside your leg adding to the oil that is on the external side of the damper.

Such videos are driving me nuts! Why do you start halfway with the top cap removed? What is the procedure to remove it? It does not come off on my fork.

Video is great but I have 2 sets of these forks and I can not find this part ANYWHERE to put on my forks I would love to add remote lock out to both of my forks :-(

The 2017 version is junk. The 2018 version has a bearing that does not bind up as much and if you beg Fox they will sell you the 2018 WITHOUT full upgrade to 2018 internals. I just installed the 2018 top cap 820-05-456-KIT on a 2017 shock. Also, you don't need the tool if you watch this video.

bikedoc640 I have the 2017 version and it malfunctions all the time! What did you do to get the 2018 version?

Just call them and they can walk you through ordering the part. My 2017 remote and topcap were junk after 4 months. I removed it all and got the manual topcap at their recommendation. Now I have room for a dropper post remote 😉
