At the time I did this, high beams were not available. You can't use the same bulb # for the highs. I don't know what would happen if the fan goes out. Maybe an internal circuit would trip if it gets too hot and kill the bulb.

It shouldn't affect the warranty of any other part of the car. If you install LEDs and you get a bulb out warning then that wouldn't be covered, or if you cut or pinch a wire to cause a short that wouldn't be covered. Basically anything that you work on to modify wouldn't be covered but if the transmission should go out for example or the power windows don't work they should not deny that.

Hmmmm...I don't know they must have not done it right. If the bulb is fully seated the cap that came with it should fit. It is tight though but I had no trouble putting it on.

What year is your tuscon? I have a 2019 and every set of led's I've installed have triggered the CANBUS and constantly dings and throws warning on the dash. How do you bypass this issue?

Mine was a '17. I think the lights are the same from 17 - 19. I did not have to bypass anything, all I did was exactly as in the video and nothing more. Did you try the Lasfit ones?

I purchased the same LED bulbs for my 2016 Hyundai Tucson. I had to return the LED lights back to Amazon, although they worked excellent. My vehicle dashboard light turned on showing defective headlights. The Hyundai dealership stated that although they are working, the computer in the car is detecting problems because the led bulbs are drawing low electrical usage. they said that they don’t think it would hurt the vehicle, but the detective light is going to stay on.. hopefully the company will fix the problem.

Hmmmm I wonder if you just got a bad pair of bulbs. Your Tucson and mine have basically the same headlight system and mine worked. Maybe there was a problem where the bulbs were drawing too little power. Just a guess.

No. I traded this Tucson in October 2021, so I think I had it about a year. I never had a warning light. And due to the hours of my job I was driving home after dark every day. I have no reason to believe that the bulbs would have failed for the next owner.

So far I have not seen any adverse reaction. Someday I'll have to open the dust cap and look inside. I use the lights nearly every day, they're great. One thing I think makes them so good is that the housing is a projector type instead of a reflector type.

I am not sure if any of these will work on a 2021. Lasfit does not show any bulbs other than the H7 for the 2021 model. I don't know the bulb number of the high beam.

@@sjkali408 i just changed mine I bought h7 for the lowbeam it comes with a bracket to hold the led, I bought it at amazon. Dont buy h7 without the bracket coz regular h7 bulb wont fit for tucson. Buy something similar to lasfit that comes with its bracket to hold the bulb. And in my high beam is just hb3 no need for bracket or something.

If I remember correctly those "eyebrows" or accent lights are LED and supposed to light up on all trim levels. You might need to see a mechanic to check them out. If its not just a loose wire but an internal problem I think its all one piece with the accents & headlight housings and replacement could be expensive.

If the LEDs have a heat sink, but that housing is sealed with the the dust cap, won’t it melt the plastic and/or not cool as well?

I think that the heat sink fan helps to circulate the air inside that housing so it doesn't build up hot in one spot. I have not looked inside, but I've done a LOT of night driving so far and never had a problem. Leaving the cap off could allow water to get in and corrode the wires.

Not sure. They're probably not seated properly if you can't turn it. Remember there is a small arrow on the plastic piece which must face up so the tabs around the edge can grab on and let you turn it.

@@TheVinias28 The black plastic piece is the base that the bulb sits in. See it at 11:35 in the video. There's an arrow in one spot and that tells you that spot must face upward when it is installed. The reason that side must be up is the tabs on the back that hold it to the housing are different. There are 2 smaller tabs and 2 bigger ones. So if you put it in with the arrow up, the small tabs will line up with the correct spot and the 2 big tabs will line up with the 2 big slots on the bottom. It won't go in correctly if you do it backwards.

The white strip above the light bulbs is an LED accent light. If yours doesn't light up you might need to bring it in for service.

Unplugging the power harness isn't needed unless the lights were powered on, there wouldn't be any power coming through the wires, one recomendation would be to wear a pair of latex gloves when changing bulbs to ensure you don't accidentally touch the glass on the original or the bulb of the new one! Already heat shrink or at least tape the connectors! Just my two cents!

did you use the Lasfit ones? Some other brands do not have the canbus resistor and the car's computer will throw an error. Lasfit has it built in so it shouldn't do that.

Thanks for this - answers a lot of my questions about this custom kit. Went through hit and miss hell and back with other adaptors and bulbs - got close but pattern was never quite right. Gave up and went back to the best H7 halogens I could find. May just try these.

If your instrument panel says one of the lights is out its probably needs a canbus resistor. If you bought the same product I did you shouldn't have this problem. Other LED bulbs on the market might be different and not come with that compatibility.

Did you fix this yet? If not, I’d recommend reverting back to the old headlights and seeing if the light goes away, if it doesn’t, it’s likely an issue with your car not the bulbs themselves, perhaps something funky happened during installation to cause this car issue.

No, I did not replace the high beams. From the looks of it on Lasfit's website they only show the 9005 type for the high beams on the 2019-20 models and it says not to buy the H7 in this kit for the high beams for prior to 2019 because there's a different metal bracket in the housing. So it appears that they don't make one for the high beams on 2016 thru 2018. I think.

I've chenged everything for leds, it's working but my panel continues to notify me: "check highlight hight, check lowlight hight" don't you guys got the same inssue? I'm using the same brands and leds that I used at my last car and at I got no problems.. 😕

If your last car did not have a canbus system and you use those LEDs in the Tucson, you'll get dash warnings. The LEDs that are compatible need to have a resistor built in or added on. The canbus system allows the car's computer to interface with these things to monitor their function in order to alert the driver.
