What were the symptoms of the previous alternator failing/having failed?

12.5 volts on the voltmeter while running

How did you end up removing the bracket that folds around the alternator ear?

I'm sorry I skipped that step. I needed me other hand. I believe I mentioned that there's another bolt up there holding that bracket

Thanks for your comment! I will try to get to the brake pads. The air filter is kinda included here.
