I did the same intake last year on my 19 TRD off road. I love it. Crazy easy install and the sound alone is worth it. I put a TRD exhaust on and wont go back at all getting 1-2 MPG better on high way. LOVE LOVE LOVE the system

The Tacomas computer has the "learning" ability that will compensate for the increased air flow and recalibrate it to factory settings. However, the engine won't ever have to work hard for air flow as well as having colder, cleaner air. It won't increase power, but it will create longevity. It is important that you upgrade your exhaust, because the engine needs to push out air as fast as it sucks it in

I bought a knn and the bolt pattern on the heat shield to the body didnt match, the screws where to small to screw in, the nipple to connect the small rubber hose was way to long, so i yank that p.o.s. out and installed a s&b and love it, wont go back to knn.

Toyota does not replace those filters every 5000 miles. They replace them between 20000 and 30000 miles depending how dirty it is. And no matter what Toyota care plan u have they will charge you for it.

If anyone sees my comment would you recommend replacing the TRD cold air intake with this. The TRD looks identical to the stock one to me besides the logo. I've already upgraded to a 3" catback exhaust that sounds 10× better than the TRD. Just wondering if this CAI will enhance the engine sound vs what I have already. If anyones done it let me know...

if you have them, you'll have to remove the passenger side hood strut. The box is too big for the strut to stay installed.

Why doesn't everyone use a tune after installing the after market cold air intake? Its usually recommended so you'll get the best performance out of any after market intake.

You can do anything you want to a lease. I just traded a 2017 SR5 in for a 2021 TRD Sport. They actually owed me about $1200 which I used to help get the lease payments down on the 21.

Definitely don’t just turn your lease back in if you have equity in it. You or anyone can buy out the lease at the end, so mod it up! Just don’t trash the value.

No. You would want a CAI and larger diameter exhaust if you get a supercharger. You will also need a tune thereafter.

I installed the S&B about two months ago. Never have I had the check engine light on. Also upgraded the exhaust on my 3.5 2019 TRD Sport to MBRP dual system. It sounds really mean. Love it.
