*** Massive time saver - You do NOT need to remove the bumper shroud. Remove the grill, mark and trim the shroud and Then remove the crash bar.

It is really nice. My buddy backed up into my truck and hit my bumper and it didn’t even put a scratch on the bumper, it looked like he didn’t touch it. And for the people that say he wasn’t going fast enough we were going 15mph and it totaled his tailgate.

Just finished installing this bumper on my 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4 without the bumper. Bought a new unpainted Toyota OEM bumper to cut while keeping my original OEM bumper intact. The wrinch installed too, works flawless with the bumper.

What a in depth job to literally cut up the facia and remove body clips that are never the same once taken out. I really wanted this bull bar but the decrease in my trucks value is a gamble. On a positive note it looks sweet. 😮

That cooler line bolt was never reinstall? One behind the flap in the wheel well. Note: the righthand tow hock is touching the bottom off the bumper too.

Always a fan of Extreme Terrain install vids. I had ordered my bumper and Raxiom 20 in light bar. Any suggestions on a winch? Specifically fitment in the BA/Tacoma bumper...or will any 9500-10K lb winch fit??

I installed the Barricade 9.500lb winch with cable/wireless controller on a 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4. Works beautifully, just properly pre tension the rope with a 500 lb + tension.

What is the purpose of relocating the cooling line? Is it for a winch? If I was not going to install a winch, can I leave the lines where they are?

Bolt Plates are used to relocate the cooler, if equipped, towards the rear of the vehicle to increase clearance for the winch mounting plate on the back of the bumper.

I put that front bumper with winch 9500lbs and a 3inch lift in front and 2 inch rear but now my front is lower because of the weight in front and it also bottom out on rough roads is their a better way or stronger set up to stop this from happening. Thankyou

When the time comes to replace your front struts, I would highly recommend looking into a full lift coilover replacement that can help handle the weight and perform better on rough roads. If you have mechanical experience it should take you about 2 hours with just the bumper. I have not installed this with a winch, but I would expect to add about a half hour to an hour onto the install time. -Merideth

It makes no sense that these aftermarket parts companies can't design a bumper that could fit directly to the truck without cutting up the plastic and adding that black edge trim. That makes it look so cheap. Better designers making a better part makes more sense.
