Sadel it’s common a ground plane will be very thick and hard to solder to without a ton of heat where you might damage the board. What I use are PCBites, it’s $300 for the master kit and I don’t solder on boards anymore when I use the 608. The needles drop down and have enough weight and sharpness that they dig microscopically and don’t move at all. When doing anything CAS related it went from 20 minutes of setup to no more than 3. You’ll have to modify the wires coming out of the probes, and maybe another xp400/g box harness you can pin connectors to to adapt to the PCbites. Like an hour of work and it will save you a million times over in labor time.

Why this doesn’t need sync data?
@jaymoney42652 ай бұрын
Thank you, i couldnt find the resistor value, i used what you suggested. It was a rectifier, so that does work. One issue i found is after you read data, the BCM will "click" and it will stop communicating. Simply unplugging the gbox from power, as well as the xp400 and reconnecting, will allow it to communicate again. I had to do that before each step. It probably is the same for when it would tell you to deeneegize and reenergize the BCM, when you were able to do it via obd.

Thanks Sadel, another great and interesting video. One day, after getting the equipment 😂, I will start dabbling in keys and programming.

Hi Sadel, if this is something you want to do often then it's worth investing into VVDI2, VVDI Prog, or Multi-Prog, or even Key Tool Plus VAG , with BCM2 adapters. It will save a lot of time soldering wires and stuff. Can be done in 10-15. But if this is a one off job then I guess it's not worth investing in Xhorse products. Bit great video. Excellent tutorial for Autel users.

I've done probably only 2 so far on bcm2's. is the process the same with those other tools you mentioned other than the adapters being used? Thank you for watching
@swarajjoye5 ай бұрын
@DTEAuto pretty much the same, but lots quicker. Does not require soldering or Diode. Connect BCM2 adapter and follow instructions. I admire your love to share your knowledge. Automotive locksmith is a very secretive business. Not many people will willingly share their knowledge. Thank you for that. If you need anything or information about Xhorse tools and BCM adapters, let me know. Happy to help.

Could you please tell me what kind of diode did you use? I used the one that came with Autel originally and didn’t work! I think the diode might be the issue. Thanks
@DTEAuto5 ай бұрын
diodes used were 1N4001 STANDARD 1A, 50V. There is a standard version and a rectifier version, I got both and only attempted with the standard version and it worked, so that's what I'm going to recommend. Also just make sure they are installed facing the right way.

I bet it tags an IP address for identification if needed later.

Great task. Learning a lot from the channel. Any lead where to purchase diodes?
