I agree with your pros and cons. I have had a 2016 S7 (now 33K mi) for about 4 yrs now - love it. The dual clutch trans is great. The gas mileage is not as great as I had hoped, but the smiles the car puts on my face just driving it make up for the lower gas mileage. Well worth the couple of dollars extra each fill up. Recently the Audi dealer replaced the turbo oil filters (a factory recall, so was free to me) and its an "all day" job. Thanks Audi.

Is it possible that there is carbon buildup caked on the intake valves? I recently got that service done on my B8.5 S4 and my gas mileage has definitely improved. Maybe try out that + new plugs and coils. I also remember reading that tire pressure (and even tire choice) could make a decent difference in MPG

Great video. Big fan and in the market for a facelift 2016 S7! Dad question!!! How manageable is The child seat situation, and trunk with kids etc.

My son in 2.5yo and fits no problem, pretty decent sized car seat as well. Truck can fit one decent sized stroller and a couple bags, the trunk space is very manageable the hardest part is just maneuvering items around the "hatch" portion, the larger wheels of a stroller must go to the back.

@@theconstantcompany do you think it would be wise to get the oil filter/screen changed first thing? (even if the inspection is good) its higher miles but has 5k maintenance recorded all the way to 147k where its at. I drive 8 miles a day so I would think there is a decade of life in it still. 2013 btw. so the milage matches the age. 8-15k a year

@@DomDanCam I would check the VIN on Audis website, a handful of years I think 13-18 or 14-18 are covered under factory warranty now for turbos and have recalls for the oil screens. Hopefully yours applies, otherwise yes remove oil screens ASAP.

@@theconstantcompany only seeing two recalls. Assuming all goes well with the inspection, I'll probably go ahead and just change the filters to be safe. I was also told to run through a tank of e85 to burn off some of the carbon

We technically don't have a launch control. But you can simulate it by turning traction off, Dynamic sport mode, one foot on gas the other on brake, 5k RPM then let go of the brake. I think you pretty much did most of it. And for gas mileages, get the ODB11, and activate Eco mode. Agree with the sunroof too tiny! Good video

Nice video! I’m considering either a 2014 vs 2016 S7. 2014 is better optioned but idk if it is worth the slight facelift between 2014 and 2016.

It may when it comes to factory warranty on turbos. Check Vin with Audi to make sure turbos are covered.. also if you plan on doing facelift type upgrades look into what the car will actually look like after those upgrades are done. I much prefer the facelift but I'm also adding RS7 style grill etc..

@@jongib6096 I think the 15 actually started the facelift. But yes also power, from 420 to 450 I believe.
